I went to this store for the first time on 10/07/2018. Normally I shop at the Home Depot in Honolulu because I know where everything is. Well during my visit to the Pearl City store I asked for help 4 different times from the cashiers and they told me they would call someone to come and help me. No one showed up and I stumbled across a assistant manager (or at least his name tag said that) and he was trying to get me to hurry up like I was a bother for him and I was slowing him down. Never did he tell me that he was helping someone else out or that he had something else to do.. The only thing he wanted to do is to sell me the 60 volt grinder... No help with anything else just buy the 60 volt and you will be happy. I felt very rushed and hurried as a customer and I called my a friend who told me "Do not purchase the 60 volt - you don't need it a 20 volt or corded grinder is more then enough" I ended up purchasing the corded grinder.
I had to use the restroom during this visit and asked them where the restroom is and they kindly told me in the back of Aisle 51. When I got to Aisle 51 I saw a assistant and asked him where should I leave my cart and he told me on Aisle 51. I did my business and came out only to find that Aisle 51 is now blocked off.. I saw a employee and loss prevention worker on the other side of Aisle 51 and asked them 3 times to get my cart.. No one answered or even acknowledged me. They were looking right at me and even when I pointed to my cart neither one of them said anything. Now nothing was happening in any of the aisles 50, 51, or 52 so I opened the gate and went to get my cart and these idiots start yelling at me that the aisle is closed. I told them I asked both of you on three different occasions to get my cart for me and you didn't so I got it. They had the worst attitude I have ever seen in any store in my entire life then they wanted to get stupid with me - I told them you should have nicely gotten my cart and brought it out to me.. There were no forklifts or ladders being used in Aisle 51... I guess it was a power trip for them to do that.. What idiots.
Then when I go to the front of the store I ask to speak to a manager and they said an employee. I asked if she was a manager and she told me that she wasn't.. I said I asked for a manager.. finally after 20 minutes a manager showed up and when I explained my situation she just kinda blew me off and made me feel like they were not going to do anything about the above mentioned problems. I told her that because of her attitude I would be posting on Yelp and every other site I could think of and also notifying corporate head quarters about their attitude in the pearl city store..
When I got out to my car I noticed I didn't have my phone. I went back to the restroom and traced all my steps to look for my phone and couldn't find it. I asked the front area if someone had turned in a phone (Samsung) and she just blew me off like she was too busy to help..
Geez if this is the way that Home Depot in Pearl City is I wonder who their store manager is and what control he/she really has over the employees.
In the end I had to go to Verizon and purchase a new phone and get all my information transferred over to my new phone.. Thanks for nothing Home Depot Pearl City.. I will not be coming back at all.. I will shop at City Mill or any other...

Recently I purchased almost 10k dollars worth of new Samsung appliances. Most of them showed up with issues and were returned once or twice for damages or malfunctions.
My fridge that was apx 3k that I purchased with a 5 year warranty was delivered back in July. Defects were found and reported. HD and Samsung blamed each other until HD agreed to process the return, and re deliver the same fridge with a 5 year warranty.
I spoke with “Jerry” initially who is apparently in charge of the appliance department. I was told the only way to truly fix this issue was for me to pay apx $3,600.00 for a new fridge and new protection plan and delivery. So now I was out almost 7k on a broken refrigerator, and had to wait over two weeks for the new fridge to be delivered.
I thought this was ridiculous that I had to fully purchase something for a return to be initiated. I only agreed to this because Jerry has stated the full amount of the new fridge and delivery would be refunded along with the warranty and I would not pay a dollar over what my original purchase price was.
He also stated I would receive a compensation for all of the trouble, which has not been mentioned or received.
The replacement delivered on the 16th. A week later I still have not received a refund, and an employee called me today stating they can only refund me $2,700.00.
As of right now I have spent hours on the phone over the past few months on hold, had Jerry dodging calls, and now I have spend over 1k out of pocket on a product I received with damages.
AND STILL NO MONEY.
what a joke.
If you wanna waste your money, spend hours on the phone, be on hind for an hour plus and have them just hang up then shop here and deal with Jerry and his staff.

Read moreJadon, Dennis & Glenn at the Pearl City Store were very helpful especially Glenn. My mom and I were shopping for a outdoor shed. We came across a fan and wanted to test it before buying it. The floor model was locked down so I couldn’t grab it to plug into an outlet so I asked a staff member and Glenn went extra mile to ensure we can test the fan by opening a box and assembling it together. Luckily the fan is good so we took the one he put together or else I’d feel bad that he wasted his time if we didn’t purchase it. Glenn also helped us with the storage shed and got 2 staff members to load it for us onto the truck. Thank you for being such an outstanding staff. I rang the bell by the way!
So after it was loaded, I went back in to purchase a tie down so the shed won’t slip off the truck. I didn’t know how to assemble the tie down so Jadon tried to help but for some reason it got stuck. I appreciate Jadon being patient and attempting to fix it. Since he couldn’t, he went out of his way to ask another staff member, Dennis. Dennis was able to fix the problem and got it to work. He ensured that it was placed on the truck securely so it’s safe when we drive.
These 3 staff members are very helpful. Oh and one more person but I didn’t catch her name. Customer Service section. Darker skin, local looking. I’d say about 5’6 or 5’7? She seeked help over the store intercom to have someone help me. Because the garden section was busy with other customers, they didn’t respond right away which is fine. I understand. But she would speak on the intercom 3 times because I was waiting. It’s very nice of her to do so and followed up without having to ask her.
