I went today to have a curly cut with Brandi, from what I read in reviews she is the owner of the salon. I’m really not sure what happened today, as it seems this is going to be the only bad review of this place…..but take it for what you will….. I had a weird experience. This was the shortest haircut and most expensive haircut of my life! I have never ever spent $120 on a cut wash and style. She was done in 5 minutes with the cut….I am not exaggerating at all. We did discuss that I did not want a lot taken off, I wanted my hair to be cleaned up and reshaped/framed. She literally snipped snipped and was done in five minutes. I cannot see a difference in anything and my ends are still split….I can’t believe she thought it would be appropriate to charge me what she did for the service she gave. I have gotten a better regular trim wash and style for $50. To add insult to injury, she styled my hair awfully….She gobbed on moose and gel and I left the salon with a crunchy mess of hair. I do not recommend, and I will not be returning. I understand that as a customer I should have spoken up if I felt she didn’t do what I wanted but I just felt uncomfortable with her and I have never felt that way with a stylist and I just wanted to get outta there. I always tell the stylist to not take too much off and trim the dead / dried ends. There is usually a significant amount of my ends on the floor when I am done….she barely touched me. I didn’t want to tell her how to cut my hair as it seemed like a pretty simple task. Way way way overpriced. Never again, this has been my worst salon experience ever, and the only upside is that I don’t have a bad haircut lol….I don’t have any cut so I just need to go to a different salon and get a simple trim and face frame style. They should be able to handle it…for half the price!!!
**in response, I did see the price of the curly cut and I thought surely if I am paying that price the stylist will go through every layer of my hair and cut it accordingly. You did not cut anything you barely gave me a trim. You were done so quick I didn’t know what to do I was just shocked….soooo instead of asking you to do your job I decided I’d take it elsewhere. I always tell stylist to not take a lot off….and they don’t, but they still cut my hair and do not charge 120. You were done in 5 minutes not a hr. So I called and spoke to BA, and I ask how much she said $110 without the 25% off so I said great it on my budget. So I went see her and show her exactly what I want with picture and she said okay. So when she's done I saw that is not the one i expected and she said if I wash it will change. Ok! When I about ko leave I already feel may back is wet and i tough just my hair but since my husband is with me, he said your back is very wet, and what happened to your shirt! I said what? I look at the mirror and it's wet and I did pay much attention that time I said to BA can you check? So she said I will blow dry it, so I said great because we don't want to go straight to eat out with wet top, then when my shirt dry it's damaged, it has color stained 😢! The instead I just let it go and my husband and my sister not really happy about that because I paid $130+ $20tip for it I was hoping I will pay $100less with the 25%off! And so i waited for may hair to change after washing and still not the hair color that I want so I texted Bella and let her know that my hair is not changing color and still same and I'm not happy so she let me see her again second time. And again I show her the same photo and she ok but it did change a bit color but still not the same on the photo! I told her the reason why i wanted the hair color and I'm so excited because we are going Vacation but the hair did get done to what I wanted I am so disappointed until now also my family. I mean the Bella is nice but I just wish I got my hair done right. Until now did change the color. I'm just really disappointed. This are the photos! 1st photo this what i exactly i wanted that I show her and told her what I want. 2nd photo that's what happened to my favorite top damaged that's the back and some on the front side should as well. 3rd photo that's the out come for two times treatment. Not exactly the same photos i wanted. Read moreI would NOT recommend this salon for your wedding hair and makeup. I scheduled my trial with Brandi (the owner) and traveled from out of town and she cancelled on me the morning of a few hours before the appointment. I traveled back home and we rescheduled. I traveled back again for the new appointment and this time she cancelled on me 20 minutes before the appointment. She said she had been sick for days (not sure why she didn’t tell me beforehand). She suggested I do my trial with one of her workers, who she highly recommend. I said I had concerns because I specifically liked her work. She reassured me that I would love my results and if I had ANY issues she would be more than happy to help. I did my trial and it did not go well. My eyeliner was incredibly messy, my foundation lifted from my face within a few hours, and all my curls fell by time I made it home. I contacted Brandi (like she suggested I do) and she had her worker call me. I asked if I could speak with Brandi and she called me several days later stating she didn’t want to be the middleman and was hoping we could resolve this ourselves. She made excuses for everything that went wrong during the trial and told me she was frustrated that she had to keep redoing trials for free because people don’t like her employees work. I said I under no circumstances chose to have my trial done with someone else – I was cancelled on last minute twice and had no other option at this point. She said they had done me a favor by only charging me $200 for the trial because it lasted longer than expected and they should have charged me $300. I had the worker redo my eyeliner (which took 15 min tops) but other than that the timeline was completely out of my control. I mentioned how the worker went into the back to take phone calls several times and maybe that was where the time was disrupted. She said she would review the camera footage. The entire conversation was very defensive, accusing, and uncomfortable. I scheduled the redo then later cancelled because I realized she would very possibly cancel on my wedding day and if she did show up, it would be incredibly awkward after that conversation.
Save yourself the $200 plus tip for the trial and go...
