Stillwater Bowl & Lounge — Attraction in Oak Park Heights

(Update 1/18/25) after years of showing up to locked doors a buddy and I finally got there during hours of "operation"??? I guess you could call it. Again nothing had changed this place has really been run into the ground, kind of a musty smell, holes in the carpet and a dumpy men's room. The 2 employees at the desk ignored us for the first couple minutes then when I asked how late they were open I had to repeat my question several times in plain English. Kind of that deer in the headlights look. I'm amazed we got the correct shoe rental. Pop was flat and a bad musty smell throughout the whole place. Also they were playing some awful bass line music the whole time we just kept shaking our heads like what is going on. Some experience out of the twilight zone.

Let's petition to bring back Pla mor lanes downtown Stillwater! They do not open until 3pm and close at 11pm on a Friday night what a total joke. Total DUMP, don't get me wrong an old school bowling alley that is kept up can be really nice this is not an example of that. Stillwater is such a ghost town these days and im sick of it. I mean we don't even have a restaurant open past 11pm 😮‍💨 kids have no where to go or hang anymore no more drive ins no more arcades and no more bowling it's not even worth trying to give this place buisness you will just be let down. I went in to the bar for a few drinks and then I was going to go bowling. I told them I wanted to pay for my drinks and go bowling. In a joking was I said”where’s my card you didn’t steal it did you?” As I had started a tab. Everyone behind the counter immediately got extremely offended and started yelling at me and that I was no lt welcome there. I kid you not they kicked me out for this. I tried to escalate the situation and it just made it worse. I couldn’t get a word in edgewise. Then someone came to escort out I said man to man let’s talk about this. Then he asked me random questions like “why not just go to carbonys” and he said did you get ready for this before you got here or drink before you got here” I assume there is a completely different reason for kicking me out that they did not want to acknowledge. I did nothing wrong at all and this isn’t the first time this has happened at this place.she dumped my drink. Seriously I told her I was joking and she said “yeah she didn’t take it that way so you have to leave” I was going to go bowling. Shameful and embarrassing. We planned my father's 70th birthday party with a group of 20ish. I called and reserved four lanes and asked if we could bring in food. The man I spoke to said no food but cake is ok. I asked if we could bring chips as well and was told yes. We were having a great time and ordered several pizza's for the party. A woman from the bar brought a pizza over and yelled at one of the teens with us saying we couldn't have chips and to "get em outta here". She went and grabbed another pizza and came out shouting at more of my family. She screamed and grabbed two of our bowls of chips, then grabbed 2 of the bags of chips off our table and told us to get out. I went and spoke to her and told her how she acted was completely uncalled for and noticed a strong odor of alcohol coming from her. I am in utter shock at how my family was treated and my father's birthday being destroyed over some chips. This woman was completely out of line and obviously drinking while on the job. I am absolutely filing a complaint with the better business bureau. That woman should NOT...
