Umm wow.
You already know what you're getting into so i'll just focus on the unobvious:
plenty of places to park, plenty to see, busy all times of the year, no litter, did not see any homeless people, rangers and guides and tour buses galore, reasonable access to bathrooms, reasonable access to finding a snack or some grub, literally people from all over the world and half of them know a little English and the other half don't know any so that was interesting to see (or maybe they were pretending lol)-wonderful to see all the peoples, plenty of inspiration and motivation, and unforgettable experience.
if you are prone to car sickness, beware.
If you are not 100% comfortable and confident behind the wheel then do not drive here or through here.
Certain parts are absolutely not recommended for children.
If you a door nature and live to hike and venture throughout the terrains and explore all there is to see, then you're in luck because this preserve is about 97% accessible only via trails.
If you do not enjoy any of the above, then you are also in luck because as mentioned prior, tour bus and etc. still give you access to some unforgettable memories.
Other than that, you already know what's going on in here , so enjoy.
p.s. i went with family and my children and made an amazing friend...
Read moreThe views from here are incredible. From the parking lot, take the trail into Cook's Meadow for absolutely gorgeous views of Yosemite Falls and the cliffs on the north side of the valley. You can see North Dome and Half Dome if you go down the trail.
If you cross the parking lot on the Sentinel bridge, you'll get a great view of Half Dome Reflecting in the Merced River.
Just a reminder: the parking lot near this view is now only accessed one way, so you'll only be able to access this parking lot when crossing Sentinel Bridge from Southside Drive towards Northside Drive. Before the park redid the roads, it was previously accessible from both directions. If you're not driving, there is a Yosemite shuttle bus stop right near here as well so access is quite easy regardless of how you were traveling around the valley.
The trail from here connects to other trails, including one that goes to Northside Drive in one that heads back towards Southside Drive and over the Superintendent's Bridge and back towards the chapel. This is definitely a cool spot to spend your time and...
Read moreI was there after a short hike from Lower Yosemite Falls around 7:00pm, and found you could watch the sunset on Half Dome and the Upper Yosemite Falls from the same vantage point. There were some ladies prepared chairs and waited for the sunset 🌅 . I walked along the boardwalk between the meadows and saw some unique flowers and monarch butterflies, when a ranger was doing the evening random walk and chat with a group of about 20 tourists. I just stayed there for about 40-45 minutes before heading to Tunnel View for the final phase of sunset. It’s recommended for the full view of Half Dome and Upper Yosemite...
