Customer service I've dealt with has been very good which is why they get 1 star, however.. Yes there's always that. The internet and cable when it comes to pricing is horrible. I've had Comcast and they were awesome compared to this. Comcast for around $150/month you get on-demand, every paid channel and dvr, internet was 220mb/s with no data cap. With Shentel I pay $234/month for 50mb/s with 500gb data cap(speeds dont actually get that high, around 20mb/s download and around 7mb/s upload)you cant stream Netflix at all. In 1 week trying to save without getting tv i used 700gb of data using Netflix. The tv portion you have to pay for each additional service(HBO, Cinemax, etc none are included with any plan)They have the monopoly in the area they are doing business in so I'm currently in the process of moving to get back to Comcast. Stay away from Shentel unless your looking to be price gauged and feel like just throwing...
Read moreIf i could give 0 stars I would. This is got to be the worst company I have ever dealt with. Terrible reliability, terrible customer service, and terrible internet. They take your money every month, then in turn use the phrase data allowance. Like they are allowing you to use their data. That you are paying for. I haven't even talked about the capped internet. Thats right, you do not have unlimited. You have an allowance you get once a month. What a joke, they are taking advantage of small town people that do not have access to...

We paid it, and Shentel shut off our internet a week later at 3:45pm. I called at 4:15 and stayed on hold for 45 minutes never getting to a actually talk to a person. The internet is vital for our in home business and rental house, both of which they shut off due to error. Can't get ahold of anyone until tomorrow, if then, and I called with plenty of time before close to solve...
