I went in a few weeks ago to browse, and the woman working the desk was very polite, but also very straightforward and a matter of fact. I was looking for washers and dryers, she showed me everything they had starting from least expensive to most expensive. Very unassuming, not pushy, just literally showing me what they had and explaining everything along the way. I asked a bunch of questions, got a bunch of answers, and decided I would come back after thinking it over.
I did shop around a little bit to see what my other options were, but ended up going with MVB because I really like the idea that they are owned by a family and not a corporation. Also, their prices are comparable, if not better, than some of the corporate run stores, and they offer some maintenance and ease of mind some other stores don't.
The second time I came back, I had already made my decision on what I wanted to purchase. I spoke with another woman at the front desk was very friendly and personable, took my info, answered 100 more of my questions, set up my delivery, explained everything that would happen through the delivery process, and just made me feel really comfortable about spending this large sum of money.
The delivery process was super easy. I was given a day and a large time frame for delivery on the day of my purchase, and told that I would get a phone call good morning of delivery to narrow that window down. I got a phone call exactly in the time frame they said, giving me a 3-hour window for delivery time. I also got a text with the same information. It was great to know a smaller window so I didn't have to sit around all day. The gentleman who installed it called me 20-30 minutes before arriving. They came and had everything set up in like 15 minutes. It was crazy efficient! The gentleman were polite, I felt very safe for them in my house, and I feel like the whole process was just very well communicated.
As a professional and small business owner myself, I really appreciate fantastic customer service, good communication, and efficiency. I also really appreciate the fact that I didn't feel like I was speaking to a bunch of seedy sales people, and I didn't feel like I was getting lied to or ripped off at any point.

I took delivery of a new whirlpool model 311 top freezer refrigerator on 7-9-23. Within two days I noticed that the refrigerator wouldn't cool blow 40-42 degrees. The freezer cooled to zero as expected. A few days later a service tech came out and without checking any air flow, advised me that the 42 to 40 degree refrigerator temp was acceptable, and left.
A few days later another service tech came out and advised me of same. Neither service tech opened the freezer wall to check the air flow manual switch.
Later, I set the air flow to extreme minimum and extreme maximum and neither setting changed the refrigerator temp. And the freezer maintained a constant zero temperature throughout these setting changes. It was obvious that the cold airflow adjustment was either blocked or defective. I relayed this information to MVB service Department several times, but they never called me back. After about another week I contacted. Whirlpool to request service. They sent out a service tech from Flamingo Service within 72 hours, who identified the defective airflow switch within 10 minutes. However he was willing to listen to the customer, and examine the airflow switch as I requested.
MVB failed at all levels with this customer. They were too lazy to test the airflow switch; too arrogant to listen to the customer, and never called the customer back after he told them that the airflow switch was not functioning. Ā Ā Ā Read moreAbsolutely awful. Please avoid. Our Maytag top loading laundry pair has been a problem since we purchased. The washer is extremely loud when washing anything but the lightest loads. The MVB tech failed to repair successfully or diagnose. MVB passed us on to Fields who does the Whirlpool warranty work. This is despite MVB marketing their service department.
Our steam dryer was not hooked up to the water line which is needed to use the steam feature. We did not imagine that we'd have to request such since it is a STEAM dryer. The dryer also needed diagnosis and repair as the unit produced a loud clanking sound after using a few times.
Our refrigerator was installed with a large scratch on the side which we did not see until I pulled it out to recenter. The delivery team did not disclose, no surprise. Same dopes that installed the dryer. Thankfully, I saw the damage within a couple days of delivery, took pics, and requested/received a discount.
The owner is not forthcoming. I purchased over the phone and he initially presented himself as a salesman. Disclosed he was the owner only after I came in to the store to settle up my account. Shady. Quality is lacking. Wouldn't be surprised if MVB received seconds from Whirlpool/Maytag...
