I had multiple encounters with Jamie and Cinnamon in guest services. These encounters were via phone with questions, in person ticket purchases and customer recovery due to a bad experience with equipment failure. These ladies really took the time to answer all of my questions. The staff at the ticket booths don't seem trained enough to answer simple questions. I also had a very unfortunate encounter with a staff member (Kyhem?), he was completely unreasonable and unprofessional. I actually took the time to report the issue because I did not want anyone else to have this kind of experience and flat out inconvenience. I paid quite a bit of money for an unlimited 2 hour wrist band for my family of 8. The staff member (that should not be employed at a place like this), was not being reasonable at all due to the equipment malfunction. We waited for 35 minutes on line (out of 120 minutes allotted time frame) for the main attraction ride that we paid extra for (Cyclone), that shut down while we were on the ride (an additional 10 mins). When I inquired about letting us ride again, he said "no", get back on line". I then explained the time limit after wasting most of our time on line, he said "nah, get back on line, oh well pay again". I even said " wow, really?!"... he then waved me off and he walked away (another 10 mins wasted). The other staff working with him, apologized to me but they couldn't do anything for me and my family. Guest services showed a tremendous amount of concern for our situation. They not only care about our experience but truly take the time to make you feel welcomed and they was able to have me laughing after a bad experience.
I also want to give a huge shout out to Logan, he was a attend on one of the race tracks. He was AMAZING with my family! He was friendly, professional, helpful and was an absolute delight. After our bad experience, we had to stop by to visit his track again, to lift our spirits and get to having good vibes. Overall, we had a GREAT experience at Speed world. The one bad Apple did not spoil...
Read moreI was here last year and had a great time. This year I had to drop the rating down. After paying an arm and a leg for a 2 hour wristband. We went for our first ride. My son had to ride with me as he was not tall enough to drive by himself yet which is fine. We started on our journey and found We were the first ones needing to come into the pit area get 1 less lap than everyone else which is fine. However what happened next was not fine. We had to sit stationary in the unloading section waiting for everyone else to finish their extra lap. While sitting and waiting the car that came in behind us came in what had to be close to full speed and nailed into the back of us. I weigh about 215 pounds and the impact pushed my buddy up around the steering wheel, my shoulder hurt, whiplash to my head. My son said his neck was a bit sore as well. The impact made a loud enough noise that the people standing on the other side waiting to get on jumped and looked. Our kart was pushed into the air. Unfortunately what happened next was the most concerning part. Not 1 staff member check on us to see how we were. Nothing was said to the individual who hit us. As I got out of the kart the only person who asked if we were okay was another guest who saw it happened. 10 minutes into our 2 hours and I was extremely sore and could not enjoy it. I fought through the pain so my son could still try to have fun.
I know they can't control what other drivers do but in previous years they had multiple staff telling the drivers slow down as coming in. They need to reevaluate how they handle parking the cars and steps to follow when an incident like...
Read moreVery expensive and very confusing pricing. If you want to get a 2 hour pass, there are 3 options. The green option gives you access to all the green tracks (which are mostly for kids), the blue option gives you access to all the blue tracks (which are for older kids and adults), so the red option should presumably give you access to all the red tracks. Right? Nope, only gives you access to the cyclone, which is the multi-level wooden track. The formula one and monster truck are also listed in red, but are apparently not included. When we bought the red passes, the cashier told us that they covered all the tracks plus the cyclone. We had no reason to ask whether formula one was included because we were told it covered ALL THE TRACKS. About halfway through our time, we realized that formula one was not included. We tried to explain this to the supervisor on duty, and she very rudely told us that she understood why we were confused by the price chart, but that it's the job of the cashier to explain the difference and she knows that they explain it correctly. There are 3 adults in our party who all heard the same thing, and she's going to tell us we're wrong, despite acknowledging the confusing signage. We still had a decent time on most of the tracks, but if I'm going to pay 46 for ALL the tracks, I want to do ALL the tracks and not be given sass when I'm trying to help them improve their signage. I got the feeling that they're trying to make it intentionally deceptive so they can charge you more money but the prices are already outrageous. Do better speedworld and fix your...
