Good food terrible service! I met some family here in town for a weekend get away. What started out as a great night ended with abominable service that would blow your mind! We were seated promptly and met with courteous server whom got our drink order. While ordering our food I asked the waiter if he could make our checks separate as I didn’t want my family to cover my bill. With the music blaring (in which i didn’t have a problem with) I thought he said “no problem, I got you” fast forward to us receiving all of our food and eating. When we got our bill I seen my check added with our family members, which I thought was just a simple mistake. Around 20 minutes later when the waiter returned to collect our check I asked if he could separate it and he said “I’m sorry we can’t do that” I was confused and asked if I could speak with the manager. The manager “Michelle” confronted our table with an attitude from the start! “How can I help you” she slurred out of her incoherent (drunk) mouth. I explained the situation and she became argumentative and abnormally rude. I asked her if she could separate our check in which I simply wanted done from the beginning and she said “no I can’t this is our policy” I asked if there was a section on the menu which clarified that I couldn’t separate my check. She told me that that every business in this town operates the same. I told her she was wrong and I just wanted to go about my day. She started stabbing her finger into the receipt and made it very clear that if I wanted to separate my check I would have to either pay a half or a third. I told her I only wanted to pay for the food that I ate. She then started raising her voice saying “if I wanted the check 10 ways she would separate it” after all this frustration I sent some people in my party to the ATM to get cash and pay this crazy “Michelle” off. What turned out to be a great family outing turned into a disastrous experience. I will never entertain your establishment nor will I recommend it to my 10,000+ followers on TikTok. As soon as I left I was outside with my family making plans I seen her run out and light up her cigarette right in front of the door of her establishment. I never write reviews but I think this one is worth every single person thinking about this place should know before you try. Ps to the business owners I don’t want gift cards or anything else as you won’t ever be seeing my...
Read moreWas pleasantly surprised with our dining experience! We only went there as another couple suggested us meeting them there. The out side appearance struck me as a burger and sandwich joint as it sits at the end of a strip mall. Once inside, the bar area was arranged just right with plenty of seats around it. Plenty of TV's around entire restaurant, all on mute of course. Wasn't that noisy, but we did go in the off season, April. The music sounded like 80's on 8 on Sirius XM. Just loud enough to make out which song it was. Restaurant was about a quarter full. The best part and the main reason any of us go to a restaurant is to eat, and the food was awesome. Stuffed mushrooms with Crab imperial for an appetizer. Huge and delicious. I had stuffed shrimp for dinner. Just as pleased with that. The other three had various dinners, all seafood, but all were extremely happy with their meal. As far as service goes, my first impression was, this is not gonna be good as sometimes you just get that feel when you see a waiter or waitress, but she was awesome. Checked on us regularly but not too much and the most surprising thing was when we ordered alcohol, she was back in no time. Usually, I feel like they have to go and place an order and then wait forever for the bartender to get it ready for them and then they're out waiting on another table and our drinks would just be sitting there. It was literally less than 2-3 minutes and she was back with our drinks. (The only thing that I WASN'T happy with was our salads. Not that fresh and a lil skimpy.) Can't rate the desserts as we didn't have any, but they had a glass case set up like you would see in a diner. They looked amazing... My wife is on a diet, so we passed :-( Great dining experience. Definitely would recommend you give it a try. Oh, and the best part was our friends paid as it was our anniversary weekend. That always makes a meal...
Read moreUpdate: 03.12.2025 Came tonight for my birthday dinner, and as usual, Coins knocks it out of the park! I absolutely love the decor of this place, as I said in my previous review. Tonight I had to have the flounder imperial like last time, however this time I had the street car named desire for my appetizer, which was out of this world (had some pleasant heat with it). Mrs. had the broiled seafood platter, which she said was delicious through and through. We finished with the Death by chocolate dessert!
Angela R was our server as was perfectly pleasant and attentive!!
Highly recommend a great meal every time!!!
Previous Review: Let's start with inside and the decor! Wonderfully open spaced and quite large inside, several seating areas, an area for a band to set up with a dance floor, and a very nice sized bar. The walls have prints done in canvas fashion of iconic movie and television scenes, which made for great conversation and atmosphere.
Jason was our server and was perfectly attentive!!
We had the Cajun shark bites as an appetizer, my first time with shark. Really enjoyed them, and the remoulade dipping sauce was a nice compliment.
I had the stuffed (crab imperial) flounder with a baked potato and applesauce. It was delicious, full of lump crab meat with a large filet cooked to perfection.
My wife had the crab cake sandwich with fries, crabcake was chock full of lump crab meat, and she loved it.
We will definitely...
