This is the third time this year we are at this location, and each time is worst. The staff is very rude and they have like an attitude problem, the way this place operate to maximize its profit is ridiculous for the client, they make you wait so much (expect to WASTE up to 2 hrs of your life for a 1 minute flight, depending on which package you buy, it depends how many times you will fly, but you have to SHARE the turbine with a WHOLE TEAM of people which I think they do this professionally which by the way they gave them 2 minutes) You have to have an appointment which I don't understand what is the point of since they are going to have you wait for over an hour, then they give you like an instruction class that is no kidding 3 minutes long, and then MORE WAITING!!!!! Overall I don't see why this place charges so much, for so little and you have to share the machine with another group, why you have to have an appointment then, it makes no sense, I do not recommend this place, probably just to live the experience but definitely do not return you will just loose your time miserably.
OH THIS IS EVEN BETTER, "THE OWNER JUST REPLIED TO MY COMMENT"
OK, The flights are 1 minute long as I mentioned in my review, I have the videos of my kids that they are all 1 MINUTE LONG. I understand running an attraction business might be expensive, but if I'm going to pay over $300, for 4, one minute flight each, I might want to get in, not spend more than 2 hours waiting, to see that in between flights I will have a whole team share the machine with me, it doesn't justified the waste of time for the client, if you are going to have teams training in your facility, make schedules where you can accommodate them all, and make another schedule in the afternoon for the families, just to go there enjoy the attraction and leave, don't make customers waste their time. And by the way your staff needs to put their cellphones away during work hours, it's not ok to approach to them to ask and have them roll their eyes or exhale at the client because they get interrupted on...
Read moreThis one star is for our son's birthday party experience. I saw on Costco a party package offer and when I called Oceanside IFly they said their location wasn't a participant but they will price match it, which was great right? Well...not if they withhold their normal party services once you get there it's not. I was told to bring my own ice because they have a big event before mine but they would save me a little for our drinks but they didn't, so no ice in the drink bucket. Who says bring your own ice? Then we were left to fend for ourselves for the whole party. We didn't have one person come in our room to help with food or drinks or clean up of plates or even to unlock the frig so we can get our cake (the frig is in your party room). My son hacked it and we got it ourselves. We were supposed to have the kid's flight video and photos playing on the flat screen tv on the wall to keep the kids occupied but they didn't do that either. My personal favorite part of the party was being spoken to about about how many people did "high flight" and what the balance would be etc....during the party! The pizza was delivered during the flight time and was getting cold and so after the kids were done with their flights I should have been in the party room serving my guests (correction...Chrissy should have been in the room serving my guests) but instead my guests parents had to serve the pizza and drinks for me because I was being spoken to about what I owed iFly. ALL financial matters should have been handled at the end of the party when my guests weren't around. It was SO unprofessional and inconsiderate. Well...I guess you get what you pay for...what a bad experience. If they had given us their customary treatment they could have had other birthday parties come from our event but all the parents witnessed our lack of service. Not a smart business move...
Read moreThis is a cautionary review for those considering going for first time. Three of us went as a family last week for fun adventure. Based upon staff recommendation we booked for four 1 minute flights per person. I realize now we were 'upsold,' and I would recommend 1-2 flights as reasonable start if you wan to try. My son said he was tired/done after 3 flights, so I took his extra flight, giving me five minutes of flight. My son woke up 2 days later with sore shoulder. A day of ibuprofren and rest and he was fine. Thank goodness he stopped after 3 flights. I woke up 2 days later with neck and shoulder pain (note: I attended yoga classes 25 days in prev month so I had very good flexibility and core strength). The prolonged single posture I held with my chin up and neck compressed for five minutes really tweaked me. I took ibuprofen 3 days and ended up needing to go to chiropractor first time in many years. True, there is inherent risk in the sport, but I think 5 minutes for first time was bad advice. So be warned to take very easy first time. At end of introductory lesson, they offer to sell you flight time for less than half of what you paid initially. So if you like it, buy it that way. Also, we were told that pix and vids were included in the 4 flight per person package, but after we finished it was a new staff up front and we had to inform her of deal and assert repeatedly that was what we were told to get the access codes. I got the impression that there are lots of word of mouth deals and that staff work...
