Well, I don't want to say that this is a bad place, but based on previous stays on other property locations throughout California Nevada and Utah, just to mention a few of the different extended stay America locations that i have stayed at this is be far not to their standards. Very run-down place in desperate need of love and care. The lobby, hallways, and my room are all filthy, not dirty, filthy. Me and my wife where on a business trip and scheduled a late check-in. When we got there to check in, the lady who was working the front desk was busy and waited 15 minutes before the door to the lobby was opened. She was very nice and friendly, she checked us into our room and said "Oh that is the last room available, good thing that you had a late check in" ok so NO MORE ROOMS ARE AVAILABLE she said. Well, we get to our room with luggage 𧳠blankets and all, and to our surprise, the door opens only until it's stopped by the safety latch inside the room. Immediately, I realized someone was inside the room sleeping, I quickly went down to the front desk with my wife and all my stuff and told the lady working the front desk. Her response was that sometimes people get moved around, and the system sometimes has a dely loading that information into her iPad. OK, understandable. But what I don't understand is she she quickly moved me to a different room but not before asking if I want to remain in the second floor or go to the 3rd floor, I thought my previous room was the last room available. Ok, passed all that she put us in a room next to the room she had previously given us. The next morning, as I went out of my room to get coffee for me and my wife in the lobby, my neighbor walked out of the room from last night's story I mentioned to the person what had happened and apologized for the incident. The neighbors response was, "we have been here long term, our house burnt down this is our long term place to stay until an appointment becomes available near the area, that has happened to us before and that is why we always use the safety latch" wow I was at a lost of words. I would hate to give this place 1 star for a 1 visit experience, but like I said, I am basing it on all experienced at an extended stay hotel. If I wanted a cheap hotel experience, I would have stayed at a cheap hotel. Parking was great and easy. Location was also perfect not far from interstate 5 and right off the 78. Well, if you are still reading, thank you for your time come on over and visit the place and create your own experience and write your...
Read moreI was ecstatic at first, till I walked my dog. Found out tenantâs for yearâs & she was one! She looked out for me, said trust no one! Thank goodness for Rebecca front desk night shift & Ruben maintenance for protecting me. Ana & GM Shilepa do not care. I was paid in full. They let homeless eat in morning, hang in hallways to stay warm, use electric outside, along with patio. I had Oceanside police escort me back to hotel & he said why are you walking by yourself, I donât care if you have German Shepherd , do you know where you are? I said apparently not. Iâm walking you back. Elevator broke down, was on 3rd floor, happens lotâs. Only took stairs from there! Side doors constantly break & also propping open. The security cameras donât work. They only work in the lobby. If you are handicapped even more issues. Everything is broken. I made so many friendâs & we looked out for each other. Never got maid service once, always out of towels or sheets. Yes you need to to just count on doing own towels. $3.50 each load Thank you to everyone that looked out for me! Including long term tenantâs! Iâm sooo lucky Beyond Please do small loads , itâs $7 total Maid service once a week Do not hand to front desk your towels you could go without towels doesnât even depend morning noon early evening or night..omg bedding for a day, no joke!! As far as a dog, so many aggressive, off leash, had barking for 4 days & Ana wanted ME to switch rooms. I was long term the other person wasnât They just donât care except the 2 I said above: Thank you for long term residentâs along with longer term stay. We just became a team & I introduced everyone so we could work together. Iâm thankful for meeting great people that really took care of me when management did not! Once again Rebecca & Ruben are INCREDIBLE! If you do have to stay, just keep to yourself, make sure you have a backup key with you because at night they shut down. If side door doesnât work most likely it will on front/back doorâs Otherwise you can ring from lobby locked sometime they donât answer. Just being honest, get ready for a roller coaster. Itâs a roof over your head with laundry that ONLY takes Debit/credit No cash No quarters I will say thank you for introducing...
Read moreMy family and I have been staying at Extended Stay America (Oceanside) for 3 years. At the start of my stay I have to say that the experience was only a 2 star experience, BUT 3 months ago this particular hotel location cleaned house and now itâs under the care of a whole new management team and staff! The experience here now feels like the clouds have parted, the sun has risen, and the birds are now SINGING! When you visit Extended Stay America Oceanside today this is what you can expect. First you get a warm greeting and a smile when you enter the hotel lobby. Once you register youâll find a CLEAN, comfortable Room that doesnât smell funny (you know that musty âhotel roomâ smell). Youâll also find as you enter your room that you have a functional kitchen that will allow you to save money by giving you the opportunity to cook for yourself and with 3 major grocery stores in walking distance food should not be a problem. Each room has air conditioning that actually works! Each room comes with high speed Internet access and a full suite of cable channels for your entertainment. The Staff here is friendly, respectful, and responsive. The manager is stellar her first name is Shilpa and sheâs amazing! Not only is she professional but sheâs also kind and understanding. Make sure you say âHiâ to her when you come visit and tell her that Stratton said âHelloâ I e give this establishment a 4 out of 5 star rating FOR NOW due to the fact that the elevator is not operational and hasnât been for like a year but as Iâve stated earlier we have a new Manager and she has been able to do what the previous management team couldnât seen to get done. SHE ACTUALLY GOT THE ELEVATOR FIXED and all they are waiting on right now is for the inspection team to come in and give there blessing and the elevator WILL BE Fully armed and OPERATIONAL! (Did you catch the reference?) đ This property will THEN be a 5 star property (within its...
