MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes — Restaurant in Carlsbad

An amazing experience every single time, we were greeted by Flor Nicolas today and we’ve actually seen him on numerous trips to Mooyah and he has been amazing. He is very friendly, helpful, and patient. He makes sure to come around and check to make sure everyone is enjoying their meal, see if they need anything, or if he can be of service in any way. My daughter was unsure what to order but he took his time and worked out the menu with her. We absolutely love coming here for their amazing burgers but also their drinks, of course they have typical sodas but they’ve also got a few juices that are absolutely amazing: the farmer’s punch (dark cherry, grape, and blueberry), lemonade (lemon, turmeric, and cane sugar), and strawberry dragonfruit (strawberry, dragonfruit, and pomegranate). They also have a wick reward system, every dollar you spend can be scanned and turned into points which can go towards rewards. I’ve gotten free burgers, shakes, fries, discounts, etc. Sometimes they even have challenges or double points days, we can in once (myself and my wife) and because of the double points our receipt became roughly 160 points (a free burger is 100 points). With the challenges of you eat certain meals in a certain time free you can get rewarded for it. Currently they have the Hall of dang burger challenge, eat four burgers off the hall of dang menu in August and you can be rewarded for it. I wish we’d heard about this spot sooner. As a added bonus this place also has charging pads set up along the wall so you can charge your phone while you enjoy your meal! Finally went back and gave this place a second chance. They redeemed themselves!!!! This time I went ahead and ordered 1/2 patty (I was starving), GF bun, and the works. The burger was pretty good and it was Big. The sweet potato fries were Perfect! Regular fries good as well. I tried the Spicy Ranch and it tasted like Texas -just a tight amount of heat for a kick. My son had the Diablo again and he loved it. So changing my review to ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Plus they have Paleo, GF, Vegan and that's Amazing!!🫶 Good portions for what you pay. I was very excited to try this place, I lived in Texas for 6 years and I do miss places like Mighty Fine or P.Terry's to name a few fast food staples. Or Hopdoddy but that's just on another level (close to heaven ☺️) I asked if a double would be too big, and I was told it would, so I decided to get a Bacon Cheddar BBQ burger. My son got a spicy Diablo one he said it was good and it was double. Mine, however, had a thin pattie (it reminded me of Whataburger which I don't like) the bacon pieces were small and crispy. I'm not nitpicking, I want to include the details. I noticed after the fact they do have a 1/4lb option which is what I'd probably get the next time. I had more bread than meat. Our experience begins with Ash and his wonderful warm smile and greeting of welcome. I ended up ordering the Bacon, Swiss Burger, and the loaded chips. My first time my husband‘s third we got our food and let me begin by saying the homemade bun is nothing short of chef’s kiss perfection there was no sweetness like your typical brioche bun it definitely smacked of bakery quality, very light non-greasy delicious bites, with no grease at all. I had them hold the crispy onions and it definitely is a burger that I could see myself eating while driving, which is not something I do very often at all the quality of the restaurant is small and quaint, but very clean. The burger had zero grease and neither did the cheese. It was a very neat burger. The chips were thin and cooked to perfection. They were perfectly loaded. They had the right amount of toppings,jalapeño wet cheese, bacon. The chips weren’t over salted. They were not under salted, they were the right thinness. I can definitely see us coming back again and again Ash and his crew makes it so welcoming and inviting and there is also shakes available my husband had a shake this evening and it was amazingly thick but not too thick that you couldn’t drink it out of the straw.
