Renovation/Remodeling depending on size and scope, can be very stressful. Varying personalities between builder and client can certainly add to the frustrations during the process. After all, it is your home and the cost involved is enough to expect some rough moments. There were rough moments, but I couldn’t have picked a better team with Beth and Marshall Booth and their crew, of Spaces Renewed to deal with. Our impression of Spaces Renewed team were consistent throughout the project; straight forward, honest, and “do it right” kind of company. They did not try to up-sell us but gave us the control to reinterpret some of the designs ourselves. Spaces Renewed accommodated our changes willingly and patiently, while still insisted and made sure we were building code compliant. They walked us through CAD drawings in their design center, showing our home layouts to fully visualize the project, which really got us very excited. Being able to visually see the entire scope of the project, and being able to work with Beth and Marshall on modifying certain spaces, eased a lot of our uncertainties and doubts. We started out with a home that was full to the brim of random furniture and stuff accumulated over 40 years by the previous owners. I felt comfortable with the crew and definitely felt they were trustworthy. They pointed out valuable things in the house we did not know about and advised us to handle and secure them. We commend Spaces Renewed for what they had to plow through and work around with. They simply worked with us patiently and even helped us with a lot of things outside the scope of their business in order to help us complete the project. Needless to say their ability to meet the deadline, not that we had one, was hindered by our own personal matters and to no fault of theirs. They had great and efficient budgeting system set, but of course our own preferences and changes added to the cost. But ultimately, the results and their work quality made it all worth it. Our impression of Beth and Marshall of Spaces Renewed is that they run an honest business. They are straight forward, and did no sales pitching and up-selling. They initially work within the box to ensure code compliance and job done right, but provided a lot of flexibility to have our vision of the project come to fruition. We learned a lot from the experience as far as how to handle ourselves during the process, relate and work with the builder, and dealing with the entire renovation. I cannot recommend the team at Spaces Renewed highly enough. We have been beyond satisfied and they have exceeded our expectations on so many levels. My husband and I met them at a home show in Del Mar and instantly were drawn to their professional, yet laid back attitude and didn't feel like they were pushing to get our business. We ended up seeking them out to pursue our remodel. The husband and wife team, Marshall and Beth Booth, are both extraordinary. Also, the extended Spaces Renewed family were all super helpful, informed, dedicated, positive, and incredibly hard-working people. We ended up doing an entire house remodel and have moved back in to our home and are so pleased with the results. We chose to move out to expedite the process and we were back in our home within six months - the suggested timeline that was given to us. We expected the project to go longer but were so ecstatic that they finished on time. Beth and Marshall both have such a vast knowledge base from conception to design to execution. They offered up ideas, choices, and options, until we got what we wanted out of each step of the process. They were incredibly patient with us because we came with a lot of questions! We selected Space Renewed for their combination of excellent workmanship, and equally as important spot on project management. For us, being on the same page and having full visibility into the process was one of the most important factors. Without it, being that my wife and I are busy and both working, we would be left guessing, and ultimately leading to missing deadlines and over budget. The Spaces Renews online platform to manage projects provide us with visibility into all activities, update picture throughout, and much more. As for the workmanship, Spaces Renewed also has a strong focus on doing things right. Doing things right doesn’t always mean the fastest, but it always results in the best product in the end. We truly appreciated their openness about how to do things right, what is going to result in long term happiness, and overall their attention to details.
