Disappointed by Noa Bridesā Lack of Accountability
I was genuinely excited to return to Noa Brides after purchasing my wedding dress there. Iād spent $1,000 + and initially felt good about supporting a small, āethicalā business. I had planned to wear my auntās veil but decided to buy one instead and made an appointment through the owner, via Instagram, who said she would get me in with Maria the next day which made me so happy! But that didnāt happen.
I took off work, drove through rush hour traffic, 13th Street was a nightmare to park on, and arrived on time. The store was closed, lights off, no one in sight. I called. I left a voicemail. I messaged the owner on Instagram while standing outside saying Iād wait around. My mom and I waited outside for ~15 mins. It was 90 degrees outside. No reply. Not that day. Not even a week later. Even after reading my messagesz No reschedule, no acknowledgment that they messed up, just silence. Meanwhile, the owner continued to post on Instagram even noting appointment availability that weekend.
It quickly became clear that once you've made the "big sale," Noa Brides is done with you. The aftercare, the follow-up, courtesy for owning up to a mistake or mix up⦠Doesnāt exist.
Whatās especially troubling is the thought of how they might respond if a bride had an issue with her actual wedding dress after purchase or an issue with their wedding at the bohemian gardens. Wedding planning is stressful enough without worrying about whether your vendor will even answer the phone or acknowledge a message.
Itās incredibly disappointing when small businesses advertise about being inclusive, ethical, and eco-conscious, yet fail to uphold the most basic ethical standard: treating customers with respect. A coworker of mine shared that she had a nearly identical experience last summerāso clearly this isnāt a one-off mistake.
Thankfully, Iāve had better luck with other shops in omaha. ARC Bridal and Satin Hanger were responsive, professional, and genuinely kind. They reminded me what excellent customer service actually looks like.
Would not recommend Noa Brides to other brides. Wedding planning is already stressful enough, there are better bridal shops out there that where staff will show up for you š

Ā Ā Ā Read moreShopping at Noa Brides was the best dress shopping experience I had. After trying on over 15 other dresses at 4 other shops, Rachel made the experience so relaxed and absolutely stress free. She treated me and my friend like we were all old friends reuniting for an afternoon for dresses and veils. I felt like Rachel was so excited to be involved in the process, and she will be a memorable part of my wedding planning.
Rachel was incredibly thoughtful and had studied all my preferences/answers ahead of time. She was very prepared for our consultation and had wonderful choices that helped guide us to "the dress" that stayed within our set budget. She gave honest opinions and feedback. I never felt that she was a "yes man" just to make a sale.
Not only is it incredible that she is a young, local, independent business owner, she has a great talent for styling and a keen eye for matching me with the dress that would best fit my vision. This is obvious with the location and interior of the shop. Everything is beautifully put together and you feel inspired.
Throughout the entire visit, I felt that she truly cared about my comfort and about me as a stressed-out/last-minute bride. She was focused on making sure I found the dress that I was the most happy with.
There was no pressure to make any purchases and I felt absolute freedom to veto dresses. I didn't purchase the dress after my first visit. But, once I couldn't get the dress out of my mind, I called to try the dress on again. She was very accommodating and I was able to return to the store quickly. I felt 100% confident that I found the dress and she helped me envision all the custom alterations I wanted/needed. She also had wonderful recommendations for alterations and flowers.
I can move forward with my wedding planning with absolute assurance that I will be wearing the dress that best reflects my style, and I can't wait to wear it on our wedding day. I am grateful for the experience at Noa Brides. With all the planning getting stressful, I left feeling a renewed sense of excitement and inspiration. I recommend this shop to everyone getting married.
Thank you so much, Rachel! I appreciate all...
