From a maintenance and aesthetic perspective, Oak View Mall is a nice mall despite its lack of renovations. One of the most disappointing things for me to see is that they’ve shut off all of the neon despite leaving all of the tubes in tact. As a shopping center this place is past its prime and is about where Crossroads was in the early 2000s. Simon built this one way to close to Westroads, and it would appear that the success of nearby Village Point has put the squeeze on both Westroads and Oak View as VP now contains several national retailers that previously had homes elsewhere in Omaha.

So glad this mall is still here! Really hoping it makes a comeback. There's nothing like retail therapy and going out in public with people and shopping. There's something lost when you shop on your phone, like real human connection! Had a blast from the past with my friend visiting all the same stores I used to shop at when I was in high school! Somebody left a paper scripture at the credit card machine when I was cashing out at Victoria's secret. It's exactly what I needed to hear! Thank you Jesus! You hear my prayers! 💯😻 Please keep Oakview Mall around!

It is sad how the American mall has fallen apart. This used to be a happening place but it's falling into disrepair and businesses are moving out on a regular basis. There are only 2 anchor stores left with JC Penney and Dillard's. You don't see many people in this mall at all including mall mowalkers and the people that you do they aren't always the most savory of characters. I give this mall 2 more years and they will close it up like every other mall in America.
