We had an old, large tree removed from our backyard done by them today. For context, the tree had been dying for years now and branches often fell. The grass around the tree was patchy, and the fencing had been damaged due to years of branches falling on it. This led us to seeking out a tree cutting service and Thank God it was Ticos Tree Service!

The whole process was great. Alfredo came for a quote about two weeks ago and we had gotten a great price for the service. He was very nice. Maria answered our calls and concerns very well and kept us informed about everything. They also let us know how to go about getting the permit to get the tree removed. After the permit was sorted out, they promptly scheduled a date and time for the service. On the day of the service, Henry and the team arrived on time (actually even early!) and safely cut the tree down to its stump and took all the wood away. We had scheduled them to remove the stump along with its roots as well. The stumps were removed very nicely. Henry was very friendly, answered our questions, and gave us tips on what to do to have grass grow on that land. The tree cutting and stump removal took about four hours, which we were very happy with.

Everyone, listen to me! Ticos Tree Experts is a must for all your tree removal needs. We had a storm and the top of two trees in the back broke off. Of course we needed them removed immediately before anymore damage would be done. Searching around looking for a quality tree company was tedious and frustrating, when I came across this angel of a company. From day one, Maria; a darling of a woman, made all the necessary arrangements and had her people come out, give an estimate and set up the appointment for the trees to be removed. Not only did they remove the trees from the back but they also did some removals from in front of our house; which made it look absolutely marvelous. They had to remove a gate to get their equipment into our backyard but put it back better than it was before when they were done. They cleaned up and were gone before you know it. Get this! They are very affordable!! They are not like some companies that try to make you pay like you’re purchasing a home. Special shout out to Maria, Alfredo; an arborist who knows his trees and Armando. Tree removal can be tedious, troublesome, aggravating and expensive but with Ticos Tree Expert Service they eliminate all your worries and concerns.

Tico’s Tree Service started out being very responsive and customer friendly at the beginning of the relationship. However that did not last and they are now ignoring us when it’s them who owes us money. We gave them a $200 deposit for a tree removal, however the town denied the tree removal request and so we let Tico know the situation and asked for the deposit back. After a week ignoring us, we were told that they put a check in the mail. After waiting a week, nothing appeared so we followed up with the office who continually delayed and made excuses. We were told the boss, Alfredo, would follow up with us. One month later, we’ve yet to hear from Alfredo.

We spent another 2 weeks following up and waiting for a check, but again, nothing. Over a month into following up, we finally received a BLANK check. We immediately notified them and asked for Alfredo to contact us.. to no avail, Alfredo has not contacted us and we are left with a blank check.

Absolutely ridiculous and malicious business who was quick to respond when they are looking for money but won’t give back or even give us the respect of a response. We will not stop trying to contact them until we get our $200 back. We do not recommend doing business with these...
