I’m torn between giving Bigfire 4 stars or 5. For me, it was a 5 star experience, but for my husband it was more like a 3-4 star restaurant. Here’s the breakdown: Location=5 ⭐️ Experience =5⭐️ Service =5⭐️ Food=4⭐️ Value= 4⭐️ We reserved a table for 6 for our daughters graduation from UCF. I appreciate the fact that parking was free when we arrived. Our reservation was for 7:45. We left UCF at 6:30 and went straight to City Walk. We arrived at 7:12. It took us 17 minutes to get from the parking lot to the restaurant, so be sure to give yourself plenty of time to get there. They had outdoor seating for us to wait until our table was ready. Our waiter was very nice and professional. A gratuity of 18% is added to the bill. Sometimes wait staff don’t give as much effort when their tip is already included, but I’m happy to say that was not the case here. We ordered the Brussels sprouts and shoshito peppers for an appetizer, along with the smoked trout fish dip. I thought the Brussels sprouts order was super small, whereas the fish dip was actually quite a bit. For dinner I ordered the trout, my husband ordered the scallops, my daughter ordered the salmon, my other daughter ordered the filet minot, my youngest ordered the pan fried mussels, and my daughter in law ordered the cauliflower steak. I loved my trout. I think it was the best thing on the menu. It came with the smashed potatoes. I’ve had better in Texas. A lot of the potatoes weren’t even smashed. It was just potatoes. The vegetables were barely cooked soft enough to be eaten, but my daughter’s vegetables were not cooked thoroughly enough to eat. My youngest loved the mussels. Even though it was an appetizer and only $14, it was huge! There must’ve been 20+ mussels. Really great deal. My daughter loved her filet minot and ate every bite. My daughter who graduated liked her salmon, but had some leftover to take home. My daughter in law liked her cauliflower steak and ate it all. I didn’t think it looked very appetizing, but I guess it was. My husband was disappointed with his scallops. He really expected in a restaurant like that, with prices like theirs, he would get some really big scallops. Sadly, the scallops were rather small. He’s been to restaurants all over the country, and all over the world. He’s eaten at some of the best restaurants. He knows what to expect for the price, so he was disappointed with the lack of quality in his order. However, everyone else was very happy with their food. We were all too full for dessert. At the end of the meal we got to see the fireworks in the park.

This place is, in one word, fine. Not fine dining, just fine. If you need food you can get it here. I don't do 1-star reviews often, infact overall is I'd say this place is probably 2.5 to 3 stars. So why do I give it 1? To start, we waited 35 minutes PAST our reservation time-- after checking in 10 minutes early. So we waited a total of 45 minutes for a reservation. What is the point of the reservation then? Especially since we made it in April... The host at the front was very apologetic and nice, we know it wasn't her fault at all. After finally being called in a few in my party were visibily annoyed and the staff made no effort whatsoever to pretend to care. In fact our reception felt cold. Some tried to make a few jokes to break the ice but the staff didn't seem to respond. Eventually however everyone started to lighten up as we poured over the menu and our service for the rest of the night was fine... Just fine. As for the food, it was hit and miss. Two in my party ordered Oysters Rockefeller. I cannot judge the quality of it as it isn't a dish I care for however I take others opinions into consideration when they have had a dish from over a dozen different restaurants. Their rating of the dish was 6 out of 10, which isn't particularly good. Their biggest complaint was that the description didn't match what they received. There was no bacon and more importantly the bernaise sauce was more like a cheese sauce. I know bernaise sauce and it shouldn't come across cheesey... It should be buttery which they said it wasn't. Others in my party claimed their dishes were a bit salty and I can agree with that assessment because my Pork Belly Mac & Cheese was pretty salty. Overall, it was fine... Just fine. The lamb chop was seasoned heavily which is ashame because lamb usually doesn't need to be and beneath the seasoning there was actually a really nice smokey flavor. Using the bordelaise really cut through some of the seasoning. However, I felt like that shouldn't be required to enjoy the dish and if it is required then perhaps it should just be served it in the sauce. This could have been exceptional and I really like to see more lamb on menus but in the end it was fine... Just fine. The redeeming part of the meal is the bison burger. I read a review that said the bun was dry, I do not agree with that. The bun was a perfect brioche bun and the bison burger was actually very flavorful. I really enjoyed the smokey flavor and the premium side of truffle mushrooms was an excellent addition-- I dropped the fries and added Mac & Cheese and Truffle Mushrooms. On top of that I really appreciated my drink, a white old fashioned. Both were more than fine... Had we stopped by this place on a whim, been seated quickly and all had bison burgers with a round of drinks this would have been a very different review. Perhaps this place (being newer) is still finding it's footing especially since I think it launched during COVID-19. I really hope they can get it together as CityWalk needs a restaurant like this. I don't like to review a place just to tear it down, I only aim to make shortcomings known and hope others have a better experience than we did.

Excellent excellent excellent Atmosphere perfect with it's nice industrial yet minimalistc design. Staff as expected extremely professional and knowledgeable about the menu top to bottom thank you Alex M. Service was second to none Food flavor of the unique fire grill cooked food from the appetizer to the main course was unique and such a enjoyable meal full of flavor. The appetizer was the perfect size as to not fill you up but get your appetite opened up for the main course (had the Hearth Oven baked bread) the nerves butter that came with it was the perfect balance between butter and garlic paired with the perfectly toasted fire grill bread was excellent. For the main course I chose the NY strip 10oz steak with a substituted side of pork belly mac and cheese. Once again the size of the steak and flavor was amazing I highly highly recommend this to any steak lovers out there although when done I felt like I could have ate another 10oz NY strip it with the savory pork belly mac and cheese were the perfect size to leave enough space to order a dessert. Side note I did try the big fire fries that came as a side choice for my wife and the flavor of those was to die for she had to keep me away from her plate as I kept trying to go sneak another one to get one last taste. For dessert we ordered the side table s'mores this is definitely a unique and different approach to dessert than you are accustomed to seeing and that adds that extra special touch to this already unit location. Having this brought to the table with a nice mini flame for you to create your own s'mores is not only fun but the right touch to end an open fired meal on and it was excellent with a selection of grammar crackers, hersey's chocolate, peanut butter cups, marshmello, and chocolate and vanilla marshmello as well you can make just about any unique combination you can think of and it was truly enjoyable. For my 21 and up looking to enjoy a cocktail: I went with the classic manhattan this is a balance of big fire select barrel woodford reserve and sweet vermouth while not for strong willed you will find this cocktail at big fire is the perfect balance of it's ingredients and makes for a smooth yet strong flavorful cocktail to enjoy and that I did. Overall 10 out of 10 experience at Big fire and you will see me there again as I look to explore more of the menu and that great open fire grill flavor.

This is one of our favorites places in City Walk. The drinks are excellent (even if you're not a bourbon/whiskey fan, which dominates the menu), the food is great, and the service at the bar is always friendly and attentive without being intrusive. It's also a great place for after dinner drinks and dessert, they have table s'mores! We've been here twice now as a party of two at the bar after hitting the parks. The bar serves the full menu and has plenty of room to enjoy a meal or just drinks at. The ambiance is low key yet classy; you don't feel out of place in either park-clothes or date-night-clothes. The menu specializes in steaks and burgers that smell delicious. My husband and I ordered mussels and the fresh fish (halibut); both of our meals were delicious (the mussels come on a piping hot skillet, the server pours the wine/lemon/garlic/butter sauce over upon reaching your table; the result is amazing smells and delicious lemon/brown butter tastes). We each have tried numerous drinks, with my personal favorite being the White Old Fashioned. It has depth without screaming bourbon and bitters, and the whole, toasted fig in the glass is a wonderful addition and bite at the end of the drink. I also tried a gin and apple/sage drink that was delicious, neither too sweet or too savory. They have plenty of draft beers as well, plus numerous wines to choose from. The bar drinks are definitely unique and hard to pick a favorite from. The table side s'mores is the best part of the meal. The servers start with a warming plate with a fire and lets it burn/warm up before dropping off an assortment of graham crackers, marshmallows, chocolate, and PB cups. My inly complaint is that we only got five crackers, when you need an even number for s'mores. I wish they'd give even crackers to marshmallow ratio too. But, alas, you can make your own s'mores and it's not only delicious, but fun. There's an assortment of after dinner drinks as well to enjoy alongside the s'mores or alone, though the variety of old fashioneds (PB&J, classic, etc) also pair well We're big fans of this place and always make an effort to eat here at least once on our trips to Orlando. Reservations are probably a must for busy nights these days if you want a table.

We went here after our first day at Universal and were beat and didn’t expect much. However, we were very impressed! We didn’t know what to really expect and I hadn’t read all the reviews before. But we apparently ordered a lot of the favorites of others and they were good! First off, definitely make reservations if you plan to come here. We saw a long line of people trying to walk in. Our hotel was able to make us reservations day of. But I want to help others avoid the wait if they don’t have to. We were seated within 5 minutes of arriving. The atmosphere is very ‘traditional grill’ type. Lots of wood and hanging lights. We were seated upstairs which was nice and quiet. Our server was excellent and paid great attention to us. He never let our drinks get empty. We ordered the Bourbon cheese fondue with the meat options. It was delicious!! I loved the cooked carrots and the lavosh most. The bread was the least exciting. But my husband loved the pork and sausage. It was huge!! We ended up splitting a meal and we’re glad we did. I definitely would get this again and would love to figure out how to copy cat this recipe! We ordered the Bison Burger and fries. The burger was great! The fries could have used a bit more seasoning but I liked the way they were cooked. My daughter really wanted grilled shrimp and they were very accommodating. We ordered the BBQ shrimp without the sauce and they seasoned them to perfection. Really should be on the menu - they were my daughter’s favorite grilled shrimp during our whole visit to Florida - and that’s saying something! She orders it everywhere we go! The manager on duty stopped by and checked in on every table. The dinner didn’t take too long and we were able to return to the parks again nice and refreshed after eating this meal. Restrooms were nice and big and tidy. This was our favorite place that we ate during our trip. Even came home and recommended it to friends. Will definitely return when we go back!

As a Universal Orlando owned restaurant, Bigfire delivers on great customer service and a relatively seamless dining experience. I have visited this restaurant twice: once when it first opened which left a lot to be desired. My second visit occurred yesterday on 11/19/2021, I'm glad I waited until my second visit to write a review. The restaurant uses a multi level layout similar to the other UO owned restaurants, my wife and I were seated in a catwalk style area above the bar, it was a quiet tucked away spot that we both enjoyed. Our server, Chalmers, was attentive and provided great recommendations, and the food turned out better than expected. The Bourbon Cheese Fondue is well worth the price as they offer generous portions of the accoutrements as well as the cheese. The hearth bread was baked perfectly tonight, the crust crisped nicely but did not toughen while the inside remained soft and paired wonderfully with the herb butter and the citrus preserves. My wife ordered the NY Strip Medium Rare and I ordered the Bison Burger Medium Rare. Both arrived cooked to the appropriate temps. I would advise against ordering steaks from this restaurant, not due to the chefs, but due to the quality of meat. UNIVERSAL ORLANDO consistently misses the mark when it comes to providing quality meat cuts in their restaurants. For the prices paid for the steaks or salmon dishes, they could easily select a better grade cuts from Cisco but their refusal to do so puzzles me to this day. My only gripe I have, and this is not on Chalmers, was the speed of service from the bar providing drinks. We ordered drinks before our appetizers which did not arrive until after we received the appetizers. This occurred once more with dessert so it was not a one-off experience with the bar. The bar is a bit undersized to deal with the restaurant; it seems like a design oversight during planning rather than an employee issue.
