I loved learning Pilates here and the instructors but this place needs a lot of change. As someone who managed a similar type business, I have plenty of feedback. Communication from staff is lacking- they don’t greet you at the front desk, I’ve walked in on them on their phones multiple times and they don’t look up to greet you or ask how they can help you. Policies of business and memberships weren’t communicated. Never been to a business where an older child can’t sit in the lobby quietly. Memberships- I find it pretty wild that you pay quite a premium price but if your credits aren’t used in the month span, you lose them instead of rolling over. Class cancellation is too tight, I don’t see why even a 3 hour notice isn’t enough, the classes have a waiting list so spots could definitely fill within that time. You shouldn’t lose your paid credit for a notice more than that. AUTOMATIC membership renewals? Pretty sure you should inform new members of this! Was only told there’s a 3month commitment, and they will not refund you, and a manager will never call you back. You can upgrade your membership but not downgrade.. interesting… seems money hungry doesn’t it?
Overall, seems this place gets memberships because they’re forcing people. Money hungry and I feel scammed. I enjoy Pilates but I will have to enjoy it somewhere else that wants happy customers and loyalty instead of...
Read moreI joined Club Pilates on Black Friday. I really enjoyed all of the instructors/classes. I did have several bad experiences with their policies which ultimately caused me to leave. For example my husband tested + for COViD the night before a 7am class. I decided not to go so that I did not expose everyone else the next day. I didn't think it would be an issue since I was told in a pinch the staff would help. When I went in they were anything but friendly and I lost the class. Should I have gone in to the class anyway... apparently? Then for weeks in a row the Sunday morning class was without an instructor. It is also very difficult to find classes that are open if you work full time. I went in to cancel my membership due to the lack of classes and the gal suggested I freeze until summer (I'm a teacher) for $25. It turns out it is $25 a month to freeze! When I saw this I decided to terminate again just to find out that I have to unfreeze, pay a regular full month, then give a 30 day notice before I can terminate. Feels like a scam to get as much $ out of their clients as possible. I paid the fee and terminated. I will miss the classes - but I will not miss their...
Read moreI have been a member for 3 years - at first it was great but once I changed my membership from unlimited to the minimum 4 credits a month I have had problems scheduling classes on the app. It always says I have no credits available but I have automatic payments deducted from ny bank account and even when I haven't used any credits I get this message. This morning after not attending classes for 3 months, I tried to sign up for a class and I was informed I had no credits. I reset my username and password ( AGAIN) and this fixed the problem (AGAIN - I have to do this constantly). Once my credits appeared I signed up for a class and when I showed up someone was in my spot - the class was full - the instructor never checked to see if people there were signed up or not. - The owner was there today so I canceled my membership - no apology - nothing for any inconvenience. I won't go back here. I joined Balanced Pilates who has a more athletic forum. If you just want to stretch and not really work out then Club Pilates might work for you but their customer service...
