Butte County Library, Oroville Branch — Attraction in Oroville

I'm super happy that Oroville has a library! It's well kept and clean, and has the newest books! Awesome! However, they need to upgrade their computers and printers. It's so old and so slow. Also, one of the librarian needs to go! She is little and mean!! Whenever I ask a question, she always ask, "have u check the catalog?" Like seriously, what if I'm in a rush? She is not helpful at all. She needs to retired or be replaced. (The staff needs to be nicer especially considering how small the place is!) Also, I was told I couldn't replace my library card - at least own a physical copy of one because I lost mine. But overall, I love the existence of...

Visited September 18th in Oroville.

This is my first time here and I needed a quiet place to do some paperwork. I noticed they had several computers as well as printers to use.

They have a children's room towards the back and the place was clean except for the ladies bathroom that wreaked of Marijuana!

I liked that they had a security guard on duty as there is times when I have drove by and saw some homeless people hanging outside.

The staff was helpful and polite. They had alot of books to choose from and some people were even playing chess!

This library is small but convenient if your'e short on time. However, they start flashing the lights on and off 20-30 minutes to closing. It is rude and very annoying. Not to mention someone could trip.

It doesn't speed anybody up away. In fact, it takes them longer to find the book they are looking for when the lights are flashing on and off all of the time. I would understand them flashing the last 5 minutes, as they have a schedule to keep. But come...
