Jack in the Box — Restaurant in Oroville

I went to the drive thru. My onion rings that were on my burger. Were burnt and very hard. The fries were old, cold and horrible tasting. The hash brown my mother got with her breakfast sandwich. Was cold and very greasy. Then to top it off, the forgot my egg roll, i had to go inside to get that and even then they had to cook it. So it wasnt just forgotten, it was never cooked 6/3/2020. Gave them another try, well it's worse. You place your order, drive up to the window, pay and then told to wait out front. It was breakfast, not hard. They came out with food, and left so fast we didn't get to ask a question. People there before us were still waiting. We had to go back thru to get the cream, sugar and mayo. Since they prefer to make u wait out front, don't give all your order and the people working there are so rude. I'm done with it, won't go back 10)9/2923. Had to go there for a friend, I ordered a jumbo jack, fries, diet coke all large, I also ordered two salads, and a large egg rolls. They switched people taking our order before we finished and this women was extremely mean, nasty and rude.we pulled up to the window and they basically threw our food at us, and when I asked for a receipt they grabbed it off the costume and threw that out the window at us and shut the window. When we got back home we noticed that we never got the egg rolls, so we went back and asked for the store manager, we didn't get him. We got the staff supervisor who became immediately mean and very nasty. When we explained that we didn't get the egg rolls she stated we did because she put them in the bag herself. I told her we have every bag here and the receipt here and no egg rolls. She told us to pull up front and she will give us the egg rolls and a cheese cake for free. When she finally came out with the bag, the other person I went with tried to explain that we live far away and that we wouldn't have come back if we had the whole order, well she stated again that she put them in the bag herself. The other person stated then we would have had them. The supervisor still very nasty stated that there is nothing else we can give us free. Then stated maybe one of the other workers give us a bag. So if you go to the jack in the box in Oroville, CA make sure you check your order very well, get your receipt and don't leave that window without everything you ordered and if you have to speak to the manager make real sure it is the manager or owner of that...

While it's usually pretty crowded late in the day and evening, we still like JiTB for their comfort-type menu. The specialty burgers that come on the buttery bun are pretty yummy, esp the Portabello mushroom Swiss Jack burger (WHEN/IF they have it currently on menu). Idk how they cook the actual burger patty, but there's something about it that tastes kinda...off to me. Not BAD, per se, just as if it was microwave warmed more than once. 😾 But when it's on the bun with all the other goodies such as the REAL Swiss cheese that comes on the aforementioned mushroom burger, u really can't tell as much. Yes, they do have REAL cheese but idk how many of the burgers on menu actually come with the real cheese tho (as opposed to American cheese, euw lol). The chicken fajita pita is another fave, also comes with REAL cheese, cheddar. When they have them, we also like the taquitos-- also w/real shredded cheddar. (How obvious is it that cheese rules my life lol)...

Their dessert menu is tasty, pretty much all of it. Faves are as follows: Cheesecake, mini churros, and u really MUST TRY the BIRTHDAY CAKE SHAKE-- oh yesss... I absolutely love those.

As far as the customer service here-- meh. It's about on par but def could be better. I almost always use the drive-thru and depending on how busy they are, u can get some real winners taking your order at the order menu! But alas, their job isn't an easy one (would YOU wanna work the busiest drive-thru in all of Oroville?? Didn't think so! LMAO)... I usually just say a few kind words to them once I pull up to the pick up window & they soften up a bit. lol

The location is prime for business, being on the corner of one of the busiest intersections in town but it leaves a lot to be desired as far as curb appeal or attraction. JiTB is pretty much strictly a drive-thru type of place. The folks here are kind to the less fortunate homeless dynamic, which doesn't bother me at all, since I'm driving thru only.

waited in line for 45 minutes. meanwhile there’s a fight in the parking lot and a woman tries to run over someone with her car. anyways, we find out there is only two people working. im like okay ill cut them some slack because im a manager at McDonald’s and i know how it can be. get to the window after the 45 mins and the manager takes the card and runs off to the front. turns out that someone had gotten into the lobby. About 5 full minutes later she returns, still doesn’t give back our card while shuffling around with some drinks. i understand theres a safety issue there with the door being left open and someone getting in but you shouldn’t be handling a customers card for that amount of time either. next, the cook with his GLOVES on, hands us the order at the window. asks if we need any sauce, we ask for ketchup. proceeds to give us RANCH. i didn’t even correct him at this point. and the fun little cherry on top is that the cheeseburger that i ordered was crumbly and rock hard. hands down the worst burger ever and im actually concerned for my health and don’t even know why i ate it and have to worry about getting food poisoning now. would guess that they ran out of condiments too because there was only a small amount of ketchup on the burger, nothing else.also had build up from the grill on the burger. oh yeah and one of the fries was put into the bag upside down 👍🏻 long wait, cold and terrible quality food, bad customer service. overall...
