Positive first: Thank you for bringing the hawaiian sun juices! I love them so much. Definitely brings me back to my childhood. People in oroville better not sleep on it! Born and raised in hawaii before coming here. It’s close to what I would get in Hawaii but the short ribs—I don’t remember the meat being so thin and dry. Flavors are good for the main, mac salad is bland. I got my chosen family hyped for it because it opens them to what I grew up. Mom had the short ribs: she said it reminds her of jerky Sister had chicken katsu: didn’t like it, but is willing to try something else I had the chicken cutlet: love the gravy over chicken katsu but I don’t think thats the chicken cutlet I remembered. Overall its okay, but we’ll be coming back to try something else.

Raised in Honolulu and now living in Oroville, I’d say this is about as close as you’ll get to Hawaiian food in the area. The flavors aren’t quite as authentic as what you’d find back home in Hawaii, but it’s still pretty good. Service was a little slow, though that’s understandable since they’re new. I have a feeling they might be connected to Halo Hawaiian in Chico, but I could be wrong.

Visited August 17th. They have only been opened since yesterday (August 16th) and it was packed at 1pm today! The bbq chicken plate was good but ask for extra sauce! They are overwhelmed by the crowds coming in to this new restaurant. A bit pricey for Oroville. It's good to have some healthy choices in this town!

Ordered a poke bowl and spam musubi. Everything seemed fairly fresh, however the poke sauce is incredibly sweet to the point of drowning most of the contrasting flavors of the bowl. I would advise getting it on the side. Also the spicy tuna has the consistency of baby food. The bowl may look a little small but they pack a lot of food into it. The musubi was overall good, if they dressed the rice properly it would be amazing. I love that they wrap the entire piece in nori, instead of a small strip. Makes it less messy and the ocean flavor of the nori adds to the...
