Von Maur — Attraction in Overland Park

I went to Von Maur because we were in the area shopping at Homegoods, this was my second time at Von Maur, I’m usually a Nordstrom girl…but my Aunt wanted to go to the shoe section, she found a pair of Betsey Johnsons shoes she wanted…they were almost dismissive to us I guess cause she was buying shoes from a clearance section…but I was not I wanted a pair of UGGS, I walked around with the shoe I wanted… 4 associates looked away as if they didn’t think i was going to purchase or something (I don’t window shop) I come to buy, then I finally make eye contact with a short older lady and another guy and they look at each other like they were about to play rock paper scissors on who would help me…seriously! I didn’t even want to ponder the UGGS I have 6 pairs already I know my size I just wanted to purchase! I have never been so insulted in my life if I didnt want that particular pair I would have walked away from your store, DO...

Everyone I encountered was very helpful and kind, however I have to say when I went upstairs to look around I was helped by Lindsay. Lindsay was so lovely and went the extra mile to make me feel comfortable. When I explained how I was having trouble figuring out how to put an outfit together and needed help, she genuinely smiled and talked me through some options. Even reaching out to the alterations department for me.

She was absolutely delightful while still being very professional. Somehow she managed to feel like an old friend by the end of my visit and she single-handedly made me a Von Maur enthusiast.

The clothes, ambience, and store are very nice, but people like Lindsay are what makes a store a go to place for my shopping needs. Thank you Lindsay for helping me, you made me feel much...

I'd like to share my experience on Saturday in the perfume/cologne area. My 8 year old son is becoming interested in colognes. While he is not old enough yet to wear it (in our opinion) he still has fun smelling all of the testers. I wish I would have gotten the gentleman's name who helped us. He treated my little boy with such great respect and professionalism and kindness - he treated him like a person and sent him home with a bunch of samples. More than keeping me as a loyal customer - this man through his kindness and respect of my child left a footprint on his heart and mind - and most importantly set a standard for how one is supposed to be treated at all times in all situations.
