CM Chicken — Restaurant in Overland Park

As a regular I’m ashamed of what I experienced tonight.. me and my friends came to eat tonight for Ramadan after 15 hours of fasting no food no water. We place our order at 7:35 to hopefully eat by 7:50-8pm 8:10 came a lady comes out calling a order number none of us had order numbers since we were dined in, the table ahead of us takes the food and it turns out to be ours. We wait and wait, they did not realize this mistake. We finally ask at 8:20 where are food is? They gave it to someone else! No apology no nothing! 8:50 came we are fuming bec we have not ate nothing all day!!! We finally complain again waiter says meal will be comped, we finally get our food after 6-7 times of asking around 9:15!! We finish eating and leave upset. We go to speak to the manager he says a half a** apology and says our sides are free. We said what do you mean you guys said our meal is free? After going back and fourth he just gives us one entree for free and charges us for the rest. It was so disrespectful we were being so understanding the entire time up until he did this. We understand mistakes happen but you straight up had your waitress lie to us and go back on your word? Over what 40$? We come here once a week minimum. That will surely change. Horrible experience, after waiting for our food for 30 minutes, one of their employees who is new and doesn't speak English very well gave our meal to another table who seemed confused but decided to eat it anyway. I'm watching this whole thing unfold another 10 minutes pass as I'm watching customers who came in well after we did getting their food, I raise my hand and get the waitresses attention to ask where our food is, only then does she tell us that the other person gave our food away, no apology no notice just complete lack of consideration, so I chime up and ask what are they going to do to make this right and she says that the other lady will pay for our meal. So we bit our tongue and waited almost another 30 minutes till we got our food. After we finished the manger came out to fake apologize and tried to charge us for our entire meal. We went back and forth with this sleezy manager until finally we just said whatever paid them and left fuming. Mind you that my friend and I are fasting for Ramadan so this extended our 14 hour fast into a 15 hour fast. I heard this place has the best chicken wings in town, which may be true. Unfortunately, the staff was so rude we ended up leaving without eating.

I was really looking forward to trying these wings out with my wife on an impromptu date night. The promise of delicious food was reinforced when we walked in and realized the place is an absolute hole in the wall dump, despite being in a very nice area. Now don’t get me wrong, I’ve had some of the best food in similar dumps, so I really was hopeful. But I’d clean and nicely modern is your style, this is not it.

However as the lady behind the counter rudely ordered us to enter our order in the broken, dirty kiosk in the lobby I got a little irritated. As we looked through the kiosk menu we quickly realized half the stuff pictured in posters on the wall was not available to order on the menu including the wing special that we wanted to try.
