This is a beautiful park and I was having a really wonderful time here passing through the city while traveling. Takin a break from driving to let my service dog out and my toddler play we stayed for about an hour. The pond was lovely. After about 15 minutes on the playground, a scruffy angry middle aged man approached me and told me to get out of the park and to take my pet with me. He was not asking he was demanding in an aggressive tone and manner. He didn’t identify himself as a security guard or somebody who worked for the area he just started yelling at me. When I said calmly that I had a registered service dog and and I was her registered handler and that she performed Medical necessary services. He got even more angry and started stormed towards me. He raised his voice so loudly that another mother and child started to record his yelling at me. I explained what function my dog preferred even though I am not legally required to do so. he ignored me. he told me that my dog was not a service dog and I needed to get the hell out of the park. I asked him if he was a dog trainer or a police officer and he said no. Then I said if he would like to call the police and discuss the legalities of where I can take my service dog then he was welcome to do that. He again repeated get the hell out of the park with that pet so loudly that people were staring. He was 8 feet from my toddler and another little kids. Yelling and cursing. I told him that I would not because I was not breaking any laws and he was the one in the wrong and that I would happily discuss it with his boss or with the police. Then I turn to make sure my son was ok because he has never been around people so violent. then he left stormed off in his truck and left but watched my and my son play. I stayed as long as I had planned and then went to restroom. I came out cautiously because this angry old man had been watching me The whole time. He never identified himself as somebody who worked at the park. But he did have an emblem on his truck I’m not from here so I don’t know if this park is supposed to have security, but I do know the laws and I know that I have every right to bring my medical service dog anywhere in the United States of America and I’m pretty sure this Park counts as the United States of America. I would be really concerned if this man does worked here because he was in full view of several children and my toddler screaming violently and cussing at me. I definitely won’t be coming back to this park and it’s not somewhere I would ever feel comfortable my children playing if that’s the type of man that they hire for security or if that’s the type of people that watch women and child on the...
