Struts of Oxford — Restaurant in Oxford

I went for the first time yesterday- the menu had a wide variety. I decided on two types of Jumbo C- wings though it was carry out the waitress got a tip. When I arrived to my hotel hungry I was a 100% disappointed. Who mess up wings. You basically just drop and fry. These were soft mostly uncooked. All of them was literally white on the outside as if almost raw. While I ordered two flavors neither was seasoned no lemon pepper no garlic Parmesan just a bunch of undercooked white wings. This 22.95 plus tip I could have just given it to a homeless person to go find a couple of decent meals. The wings were disgusting and to add injury to misery the fries was soggy as if they had been laying out all day just waiting for a sucker like me to rescue them. After only having had a smoothie all day after driving from Atlanta I was quite hungry. I tried microwaving a few of the wings in an attempt to cook them but that didn’t work. I have a policy of never taking food back b/c some cooks get easily offended and will add something special that’s not on the menu. I only ordered the wings and fries which went into the garbage - maybe everything else on the menu is great but those jumbo half cooked soggy fries I wouldn’t recommend. I am in Oxford about twice a month but that will be a stop I want be...

I had been craving a taco salad in the edible shell for ages. I found it on Strut's menu along with a photo on their website. I sent my husband to pick one up for me tonight, and my excitement turned disappointment and disgusting when he got home with it. The first photo is from Struts website, and the second photo is what I got - a plate of STALE nacho chips with a little bit of lettuce in huge pieces, with ice cold ground beef! Nothing at all like the description on the menu. Don't give me " the shell won't fit into the Styrofoam plate!" Then get some carry-out containers it WILL fit into, or notate on your menu that carry-out orders will be prepared differently. If I had known this was what I was going to get, I would've ordered from somewhere else!! SO DISAPPOINTED IN...

My girlfriend chose this restaurant for her birthday dinner. She loves their burgers. Unfortunately, we were not given burgers. We were given meatloaf disguised as burgers. We were not informed the bingo crowd had eaten the kitchen out of regular patties. Instead, we were substituted thin, overly seasoned sorry excuses for hamburger patties that fell apart and created a huge mess. For these abominations, we were charged full price, even though an entire meatloaf plate (complete with two sides) was several dollars cheaper.

We will not be going back to this location. From the piss poor reviews this location is receiving, I see it going the way of Struts of Gadsden...closed permanently. If so, good riddance. From raised prices to poor food and service, this place should...
