Oxford Civic Center - Swimming Pool — Local services in Oxford

The pools are nice and big. I’ve been there a lot, this summer... My only worry is that I never smell, any smell of chlorine , while I’m swimming, so I wonder how clean the pool really is..as I’m swimming with a variety of strangers there, some I’ve seen with sores on them...if you go early, It’s not crowded. I’ve found that the lady lifeguards are very nice, and friendly. My other complaint is, all the tiny gnats crawling on the lounge chairs there...don’t they ever spray for bugs? Update. Definitely get there early if you wait till 1:30 or 2:00 pm to swim my goodness! It can get up to 50 people in there at once and you will hear nasty cursing from some, as your trying to swim...

Today was my 1st time to visit this pool and I will definitely be back! We had a great time! Me and my 2 girls, ages 12 and 4, equally had a great time! They had a small kiddie pool for the young kids and then the larger pool for general admission. And the fact its only 2 dollars per person is definitely a pro because all thr other pools in the area are more expensive and not as nice as this one. It also wasnt extremely crowded. We had plenty of room to move around and actually SWIM! 5 stars!!! Thanks...

I see reviews from 4 years ago and I guess things are still the same. Hours now are 11am to 4:30pm. That's not very long. It's a very nice pool and an enjoyable place to relax. Today they decided to close at 2 instead of the posted 4:30. Also, the life guards said nothing to boys diving from the side. They weren't even looking toward the pool. And there were a few of them. Great place, but needs longer hours in the summer and extended to the end of summer. FYI They close all weekdays...
