My daughter absolutely loved it and it definitely got her more confortable and excited about surfing. I personally, thought it was going to be more a "learn to surf" camp. Saying it out loud now, I realize that was my assumption and not necessarily the surf camps fault for my misunderstanding. I assumed, I would drop her off monday and by Friday she would be popping up or even paddling into waves. That was not the case for my daughter or most the kids I saw out there. The kids looked like they had lots of fun and were given a lot of room to just play in the surf, on boogie boards, and could grab an instructor to push and hold the surf boards while they stood on the surf boards in the white water.

We were 2 person, separate tickets and emails, no one received any kind of cancellation notice.
Also waste 3 hours from our short Holliday on west coast.
They reimbursed the money for the course, but we still lost lots of money and time.

Read moreI can't stress enough what an amazing camp this is. My kid has been back twice now and we hope to continue every summer. The counselors are so kind, fun and enthusiastic. The kids stay safely out in the water or on the skate park all day and always come back with stories about nature, learning new tricks or just having a blast. Vivianne runs an amazing program with all the other people at Surf Camp Pacifica. Truly worth it: we love them...
