When I went to the Palatine Public library I was looking for a few movies and I wasn't exactly sure if the computers were up to date. I saw that on the computer it said that they had 2 copies of the movie I wanted but the person I talked to said they didnt have any copies. I wasn't sure if he was lying to me or if he just needed to update the computer. I didn't have a good experience, but some of you may.

One good thing about it though was that they had a very wide array of movies and many options to choose from. The people there were ok but they didn't really involve the person.

Another bad thing was that I called on the phone before hand and the women was very rude. I was shocked at how harsh her tone of voice was, and it sounded as though she just didn't want to help me.

Palatine Library is just one of many quality public libraries in the Northwest suburbs.

It's sectioned off nicely so there are both quiet areas and other areas where young children feel welcome. I've always loved their Audio/Visual section - there's a great selection of both DVD's and CD's. On top of that, the interior was recently remodeled so it feels more open.

The only thing holding me back from giving this library 5 stars are the hours. I think it would be beneficial to residents if they were open until 10:00pm during the weekdays, including Friday nights. I would also like to see more hours during the weekends.
