Panic Escape Room Games — Attraction in Palatine Township

We did the Beetlejuice room on Saturday at 1:20pm. It was a great experience. No spoilers here, but there are multiple rooms involved in this game. Lots of great props and puzzles to solve. We went with 4 40s something adults and 2 10 year olds. We were the only group in the building at the time of our game. We solved the game and brought Beetlejuice back to life in just under an hour (and with some very helpful and well timed hints from the screen located inside the rooms)! All of us had something to work on during the game. I don't recommend going with a smaller group as you might not have time to solve all the clues yourself. I will say, we used a Groupon and then they charged a Groupon fee which made it so we really didn't save any money at all. I recommend just buying your admission through the company website and skipping the Groupon all together bc it's just more confusing and literally saves you nothing. The room got incredibly hot by the end of the game, just with the 6 of us in there. I recommend a few fans or air conditioning units be installed since there's no windows. The room was awesome, very well designed. Overall set up was really cool. The 3 star review is for a few reasons. First the broken radio which cost us time in solving clues (we were not given the time back), second reason was due to the staff giving us clues to things we already solved again thereby wasting a hint and time, third the room was uncomfortably warm which we mentioned several times but it was not adjusted and lastly it is never a good sign when the employees have different answers to the question “is this a linear room”. We had just done the Blockbuster room (3/2 540pm) but definitely needed a lot of help since the majority of our group had never done an escape room before and decided to throw them right into a 5/5 difficulty room lol. Our gamemaster, Brennan, was incredibly nice and accommodating to group especially when I called to book the room.

I think everyone in our group had fun, the theme was fun and definitely had some challenging puzzles but it was a good first experience for our newbies. Will definitely return to try the True Crime...
