Steve's Produce — Attraction in Palm Harbor

Brought a case of regular small oranges so I can put in snack bags for the homeless. Brought on a Friday, served that Saturday. Had a half of box left, served those the following Saturday where most of the oranges were discoloring. I brought some honeybells at another produce place and mixed them with the others and the people barely touched the small oranges. I bought back home about 25 oranges thinking I could use them again or save some for a marinade that Saturday and by Monday they were turning green, to a darker color, and very mushy. I was going to give them to a friend but they are so discolored I didn't. Will not purchase in bulk again and definitely not those oranges. So out of that case I lost about 30+ BTW, the honeybells I brought at another produce place further down Alt 19, there were 100 in the case and I lost 5, which were on the bottom smashed/molded.

Very disappointed!! I love supporting local businesses but We spent over $100 stocking up on supplies including lots of Bags of specialty rice and soups! Cooked the soup and there was hard chunks in it. I checked it was expired and dried out. I pulled out all the other bags they were all expired! I have shopped Here for over 20 years! There produce was over priced. And I asked for cinnamon sticks they found some under the counter outside in the heat sold them to me for $2 they were so dried out there was NO flavor. Great local produce stand and meat market which has been here for at least 30 years when I moved here. Produce is excellent and many items are cheaper than Publix or other large grocery stores, most appears to be locally grown. Awesome meat selection, and with many items not available in regular supermarkets, prices match or are comparable to other larger chain stores (not including Walmart pricing, you get what you pay for on fresh produce and meats in my opinion).
