Baristo Park — Attraction in Palm Springs

The city installed huge canopies over the playground to keep the swings and slides and other kiddy toys so they don't get burned by the hot metal or plastic play yard things. They installed cameras and audio so they can view the goings on in the park at all times, they chased out the drugs and losers and returned Baristo park to is real name instead of Heroin Park which is been called...

The playground is under construction right now (Feb 2025). We chose a hotel close by so we could easily visit the playground, so that was disappointing to learn. Looks like it is a lovely shaded play area with some grass when it is not fenced off and having the play equipment...

Beautiful park, but locals who hang out here make it very uninviting for parents looking for a playground to take their kids to.
