Here is what happened: I arrived last Thursday and checked in. A girl with long dark hair checked me in. She was very rude, she did not smile or say please and thank you even though I smiled and said please and thank you to her.||||I got to the room and it was okay, although a little dirty. The air conditioning worked, the bed was comfortable, and the internet was fine. There was no shampoo, so I asked for some at the front desk and the same rude girl lied and told me they didn't have any. I saw a maid with a cart on the way back to the room and she gave me a few shampoos from the large supply that she had.||||The real trouble started the next day. I tried to get ice and the ice machine was broken. I tried to do laundry and the laundry machine was broken. I asked the front desk when these things would be repaired and they could not tell me. I did get a free tiny cup of coffee the motel provides.||The next morning I stepped out of my room to find a pit bull running towards me. It belonged to the homeless family that was camped outside my door. They were out there all day because there is no security at the hotel. You might not be able to get ice or snacks at this motel. However, you will be able to get drugs are a hooker if you want them. They are offered right in the parking lot.||I went to get coffee, but there was none. I was told they were out of cups. The next morning I brought my own cup and I was told they were out of coffee.||I filed a complaint with Motel 6 and the manager came to my door that evening. In spite of the fact that the motel advertises an ice machine, laundry, and vending machines, she told me that these things were broken and that she did not know when they would be fixed. She said it was not her responsibility as Motel 6 used a contractor for these things.||This is not true. It is Motel 6's responsibility to provide everything that they advertise to their customers. They advertised an ice machine, a laundry machine, and a communal microwave. None of those things were provided. They have a contract with their vendor. It is the vendor's responsibility to provide those things to Motel 6. Hence, the contractor should give Motel 6 a discount for not providing those services and Motel 6 should discount their guests. If the contractor does not refund Motel 6's money, Motel 6 should sue them. If I had to venture a guess, I would guess that Motel 6 did not pay its bill to the contractor.||When I told the manager about the coffee, she said they absolutely did have coffee and cups, which means that the girl at the front desk lied to me. She offered me a $20 discount. She said to call Booking.com and they would call the front desk for confirmation. I called them, they called the front desk and the manager confirmed the discount verbally. I waited a week but did not get my money back.||I called Booking.com again and I was told that the manager was supposed to take one last step and confirm the refund via email. She never did this. I tried talking to the manager before I left but she was not there.||They had coffee for the next two days after I complained. They lied and said that they did not have any cups on my last day. (The maid had a cart full of cups.) I was there for 8 days and my room was never cleaned. Fortunately, I had two beds so I just switched mid-stay.||That is what happened. If I do not get the money she promised me by Monday, I will contact Julie Arrowsmith who is the CEO of Motel 6. I will also contact Glenn Fogel the CEO...
Read moreI'm sitting here in my room, past midnight, even though I'd like to go to sleep, because I have to have an early start, but unfortunately, I'm waiting and waiting and waiting for the shower to at the very least reach at least lukewarm! When ii pay $100 for a room, for a night, I don't think I'm asking to much,to be able to take a shower!! A warm, preferably HOT, shower! In addition to the inability to take a hot shower, I arrived here at 4.30, check in is allowed at 3 PM, but at 4.30 I was told the room wasn't ready and it's be 15 or 20 minutes, it was probably 110 at least outside, I was trying to sit in my Van with the AC, going to keep myself and my dogs cool, but the heat was to much for my van sitting still while running AC, and it started overheating. I went and told the office I need my room now, S my van is getting hot and it's too hot outside for me and my dogs, so they supposedly gave me a room upgrade (because it had 2 beds instead of one) , because the original room i was supposed to get, had an issue with the smoke detector, but still that issue should of been resolved before I got here or by 3 pm, which is check in time! I'm not the kind of person, any business should fail in their mission because I always write reviews! Both good and bad, depends on what kind of experience I have, if its great I leave a great review! But if it's not, I let people know about it!. 1 other issue with my reservation at this motel 6 is I booked it online and my card was supposed to just be to hold the room, it wasn't supposed to be charged, but around 2 or 3 hours before I got to motel I received a notification that my card had been charged, I usually prefer to pay in cash, but if I had chosen to do that after my arrival I would of ended up having to wait a couple days for the refund to go back on my card , so I wasn't very pleased with that issue either! I just checked again and the water is still freezing, it's not looking like I'm going to be able to get a hot shower tonight,,, definitely not very happy about this at all!! I should be sleeping right now !! I guess I'm going to give it another half hour, then if it's not at least somewhat warm I guess I go to sleep dirty and smelly! I've stayed in a lot of motel 6,in my day, and for the most part, (considering it is motel 6 after all) , most of the times it has been fairly decent, other than one time , but this time, it's more issues than I feel I should have to deal with , after paying $100, the 1 time I had a negative experience, at that time and that motel 6 I believe I only paid around $60 but this time it was a $100 and I can't even take a...
Read moreI'm going to start by saying that upon check-in, I was told by the front desk clerk, who was polite and communicative, that the manager was offering to waive the $5 parking fee if I left a review on Yelp or Google. I said, "Sure." I was then handed an iPad and told to write the review then and there, before I had even seen a room or stayed at the motel. So then I laughed in disbelief and said no, I'd rather pay the fee. So take other reviews with a grain of salt -- they may have been coerced or written before guests had knowledge of the property. ||I stayed for one night and was glad it wasn't for longer. ||The location is pretty good, at the far south end of the main street in town. You could walk to the shops and restaurants if you really wanted to, but it's still a bit far. ||One elevator closest to the room was out of order, and the other one seemed like it was about to become that way itself. ||Outside, the motel reeked like an old smoked joint -- ash, weed, and burnt paper. There was no smoke smell inside, thank goodness. ||The room was tiny and very bare-bones. It seemed like it had been cleaned, but there was still a sort of dirty feel to it. There were stains on the wall and water damage on the ceiling from the AC unit. There were no bugs, thankfully.||Even though it was the beginning of February and in the low 70s F outside, the room was roasting hot. I had to figure out how to use the vintage AC system, which had no markings on the dial to let me know what to do. The highest fan setting had an annoying repetitive squeak. Eventually it did do the trick, however.||There were exposed wires and the battery cover was missing for the key card reader on the door, so lucky the batteries didn't fall out and make the room inaccessible. This would also be a hazard for children or pets. ||The thin queen mattress was hard as a rock, had only 2 very sad pillows, and no real comforter, just a light blanket. The towels provided were rough, small, and few. The faucet sprayed water all over me when I turned it on, the only way to prevent that was to keep it at a trickle. The shower was OK. The TV was on the small side, and didn't have streaming options. The wifi worked.||All in all, this is nothing more than a semi-uncomfortable crash pad. It was a lot less expensive than some of the other places in town, which is why I chose it for the one night I needed it, but I was reminded why I had promised myself I would never again stay at a Motel 6 after the last time I stayed in a Motel 6...
