We heard about this restaurant from our Uber driver when we landed in town looking for a place the locals eat. She immediately mentioned this place and said it was one of the best in town. We made it in for lunch and it was not super packed. After looking at the menu for a minute we decided on fajitas, a birria taco, and horchata. First…the birria taco is not what one currently expects. It was a normal taco and not fried or with cheese. It had goat in the traditional manner but had a sweet flavor that we didn’t like. But…the fajitas….best fajitas I have had in my entire life and my companion agreed. The seasoning was dancing across our tongues. The shrimp and steak were perfectly cooked, I cannot express how awesome these were. The bar is now set and I am afraid I will have to come back to Palm Springs to even get close again. The rice and beans and guacamole were also top tier. And the horchata oh my. Sweet, cinnamon perfect combo and a huge glass of it. If you are in the area get a little out of the downtown area and stop here!!

I initially made a reservation for Tac/Quila but after doing more research online, realized that it was NOT the place downtown for authentic Mexican food. So I cancelled that reservation, and I do not regret it. Chips and salsa (free) were great, the large (and cheap) margaritas were delicious, the chimichanga was one of the best I’ve had (SoCal guy here), and service was attentive and friendly. A similar meal at the other place would’ve been $60 more. Earlier, I spoke with someone in town who asked where we were going for dinner and when we told them this place, they agreed this was THE Mexican food place to go, and that the other places in downtown are simply tourist traps for people who don’t know any better. So save your money and go where the locals go for real Mexican food downtown. You won’t be disappointed.

If you're craving authentic Mexican flavors in Palm Springs, Taqueria Tlaquepaque is a fantastic choice. The food is undeniably tasty, offering a wide variety of dishes that showcase the rich and vibrant essence of Mexican cuisine. One standout option is the birria, which is prepared to perfection and bursting with flavor. The restaurant truly shines in its hospitality. The staff is friendly and welcoming, going above and beyond to accommodate even large groups with ease. Despite the bustling atmosphere, the service remains quick and efficient, ensuring a delightful dining experience for everyone. Overall, Taqueria Tlaquepaque offers delicious food, excellent service, and an inviting ambiance. Whether you're in the mood for birria or other Mexican classics, this spot is worth visiting for a satisfying meal.

I drove in to Palm springs to pick up some friends from the airport and got super hungry. I was very indecisive as there are tons of great restaurants in Palm springs . But this place came up with good reviews on Google maps and I did remember some other friends recommended it. So I called in a torta while I waited for my friends to arrived. Boy oh boy oh boy did they Delivered ! The torta was Delicious huge torta loaded with tons of Carne asada that tasted just like your backyard grill carne asada from home. So no es Torta no me Importa ! It was honestly loaded they are not shy with their portions I had to wrap it up to go as I got full and couldn't even finished it . It was perfect they made it quick the lady on the phone was super polite and very understanding and helpful with placing the order. There a sing saying seat your self. Witch made me feel happy and strange at the same time lol 😆😂❤. They are so welcoming. Honestly the restroom is way way outdated it was like I walked into a time machine to the 90s groovie babby or 70s lol idk 😶. but it was clean and clean is what matters to me. There a juke box that I wanted to play with but I had to run because my friends called me that they had landed. This place is great go check it out for your self. The price is great to I love other places for their tortas but this place has the best prices. Also try their green salsa is finger licking good. It's next to the rite aid. I wish I lived closer I would...

We went here after reading the reviews, and man, were we disappointed. The place was kinda packed so we sat outside. We were greeted within in a few minutes and we someone took our drink order. Looks The place looked ok in the inside and the kitchen looked clean from where we entered. Once outside it was a different story. Our table was clean but the chairs were worn and rickety. The outside of the fence was full of trash and there were homeless around. It also smelled like pee. They need to talk to the grocery outlet next door and get the situation under control. Service The service was amazing. We were checked on a few times and they made sure we had everything we needed. Food The reason we came was because of the food and we were disappointed. The food was bland and the tacos didn't have any flavor. The Aguas frescas were good but had too much sugar. The salsas didn't have any flavor they were just spicy. Pricing We spent like $50 for 3 people, which is what we usually...
