For me, this was like finding a hidden gem in Palo Alto. This museum was so full of wonderful antiques and historical information. The museum is free but gladly accepts donations. Every 6 months they change out their main display for something new. We were able to view the phonograph record display and thoroughly enjoyed it. Playing the old music on the two boxes and listening to the old record players play music was delightful. We also enjoy the victory garden outdoors and the old antique car in the garage. This is an old family house, restored and filled with household objects from around 1900s to 1970s, for example: ice box, phonograph, telephone, Erector set, kitchen tools, doctor's office. My favorite were the old timey product package designs! The gardens are beautifully designed in the style of a 1943 Sunset magazine Victory Garden. Sitting under the trellis on a hot day was divine.
