The food at Reposado is delicious. You can order anything on the menu and you know it’ll be great. We ordered the guacamole, and the burrata crostini for appetizers. The guac was very good and fresh. The burrata was so surprisingly good. It had a tomato soup-like sauce that is very smokey, and it also has crispy kale. We also ordered off the vegetarian menu (we’re both vegetarian) and was surprised at all the options! She got the sesame crusted tofu and I got the enchiladas with heirloom beans. The tofu was the winner in the entree round, but the enchiladas were still very good. Although they were a bit spicy. We also had margs, which were superb. Service was amazing and I loved how instead of coming to see if we needed anything, our waiter told us more about the menu, talked to us about the food, and the restaurant. It felt more like a part of the experience. The only reason why I am giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the drink prices. Margaritas are simple to make and I felt like mine, although delicious, wasn’t something I couldn’t make at home. Their margs were a little on the sweeter side too since they use sweet and sour. Although, I will definitely go back to do a flight of tequila. I definitely loved their huge selection of tequilas!

Caution momma's and papas with little ones - there is no diaper changing station in the restrooms! 2 stars because: a) for a kinda expensive restaurant in downtown Palo alto, which is supposedly very progressive and ppl friendly, the place doesn't have a diaper changing station! Will not go back here until they have one!!! B) food is just ok! C) they have a vegetarian menu with quite a few options Came here for lunch on a weekday with my parents and 3 month old baby. We chose to go at 11.30am (right when they open) so there isn't much of a crowd in case my baby starts crying. We got seated immediately and the hostess let me decide what's best for the baby in terms of seating. We were served immediately.. we got the guacamole (not the best I have had but it was good), veggie tacos, queso burrata and veggie enchiladas. All ok..nothing special for the price. We ended our meal with a panna Cotta and bread pudding desserts both of which were ok but not great. Good place perhaps for drinks with friends but not coming back here until they make it friendly for families with little ones!

Comically overpriced. Service and atmosphere were perfectly fine. Everyone was friendly but the food was forgettable. To drink, I ordered a mocktail which was fine but essentially a tamarind lemonade with club soda. To eat, I ordered a seafood crepe. The dish itself is more nuanced than those two words let on, but your tongue would not be able to tell if you didn’t read it on the menu prior. It was basic and perfectly fine, but it was *$38*! Just about everything on the menu was eye wateringly expensive. Most mains clock in at around $40. I also shared in some brussel sprouts and guacamole with my party. The former was average but a tiny portion for nearly $15. The latter was solid but, in theme, pricey. Everything except the sprouts is pictured. Overall, this restaurant made me feel duped. Like a joke was being played to see how much they can get away with charging. It really does not feel great after dining at a place like that. I feel a bit foolish. And I am going to spare myself that feeling in the future.

The ambiance is nice, intimate, and romantic. The music was pleasant as well. I must say the we tried a good variety from the menu but we're disappointed with their ceviches. We tried the 3 ceviche appetizer and all three choices were lacking flavor. The pico de Gallo and the salsas that game with the chips were also in need of salt and I NEVER EVER add salt to my food from restaurants because they are usually seasoned enough. On a positive note, the Seafood crepes were delicious as was their special of the day- Halibut over sparagus and black rice. Our main dishes were beautifully presented as well. The salted caramel ice cream was also exquisite! ! The scallops and shrimp were drenched in a yummy creamy sauce that was worth every penny! Drinks were also pretty good. We had the Guava margarita and the blood orange mojito. The margarita was stronger than the mojito but both were pretty good. I do feel like the food is a bit over priced, the ceviche trio was about $20 and it had more fried plantains than ceviche.

Update: the braised short ribs and piblano pepper is a delicious gluten/dairy free dinner option! The rib meat was so succulent. Such great service and absolutely worth the price. Hands down my favorite place for a fancy Margarita and delicious Mexican appetizers in Palo Alto. The staff are always so friendly when it comes to seating my party (best to make a reservation), ordering food or cocktails. The bartenders are helpful and know how to make a Margarita!! Love the ambiance, vaulted ceilings and decor there. Chips and Guacamole are so good ( chips apparently not Gluten-free but they’ve never made me sick)!! Best for a date night, dinner with friends or co-workers! Always go with the Large Margarita, halfway through the regular marg you’ll be full of regret!! Haha! Always a favorite place for me and I’m never disappointed!! Best to park under the police station in the underground public lot after 5pm!

Trendy spot for high-end Mexican fare with a popular bar scene thanks to their margarita selection.
