I've been dining at this branch of Curry up now pretty regularly since my place of work is in PA right next door. I regularly do take out orders here and I've got to say that the quality of food and service at this outlet has severely gone down since the pandemic and its quite a shame.

On several occasions the staff here has been pretty rude with me. This one time I came in with my dog and they asked me to wait outside and did not bring me my pickup order for 15mins even though I could see it was ready on their counter all this time. Other times they have missed items in my order of given me completely wrong items. Worse is that they do not have any helpline for issues with their online orders; they just ask you to email them details about the order.

They are also very inconsistent with the portion sizes in their takeout order. Depending on the time of day you visit, they'll either give you next to nothing in their rice bowls or otherwise fill it up to the brim.

Its quite a shame because i used to enjoy eating here pre-pandemic and now i mostly try to...

First timer. Came in to pick up some dinner to go. The cashier must have been new because she was not familiar with the menu. I ordered the chicken tikka bowl, paused, and was about to move onto my next item, when I said aloud “wait doesn’t this come with daal or chana?” to which she responded “hmm I think that’s right.” And then when I ordered the protein bowl and stipulated chana, it took her a minute before she explained that it didn’t come with chana.

The staff who was preparing the protein bowl at one point walked out of the kitchen, studied the menu board, and must’ve realized she forgot the peanuts because she took the bowl back inside for peanuts (I saw her pour them out.) So the staff must be new too.

The food was prepared quickly, but that makes sense since they really involved assembly and no real live cooking.

My protein bowl was very watery, it would’ve been nice if the staff had drained the liquid a little. The chicken tikka bowl was placed in a plastic insert and thereafter in a box, which made eating it a bit clumsy.

We would not...

Subject: Feedback on Recent Visit to Palo Alto Location

Dear Customer Service,

I recently visited your Palo Alto branch and ordered the lamb thali. While the food itself tasted fine, I wanted to share some concerns about the experience:

Portion Size: I chose to dine in but requested that the food be packed to go, as I wasn’t sure I would finish it. However, the portion I received was noticeably smaller (by more than 50%) than what others dining in were served, yet I was charged the same amount.

Possible Incorrect Dish: What I first received was shredded meat that I assumed was lamb. Later, when I was asked what I would like extra of (since naan was missing), I requested lamb and was given large pieces that were completely different from what was in my thali. This made me concerned that my thali may not have been lamb at all, but possibly pork.

While I appreciated the taste, the overall experience felt disorganized and lacking in integrity. I wanted to bring this to your attention so that future guests do not encounter...

A fun place for Indian snacks and lunchables. Great for families and casual groups. The meat is halal. Wish they had more seating though. Portion sizes are decent. Little pricey. Had the bhelpuri which was like papdi chaat. Teekha (spicy) and quite true to the original flavour. Also had the veggie loaded sweet potato fries which had paneer gravy on top. While the chips themselves were good, I wasn’t a big fan of the paneer gravy. Very strong taste of coriander seeds. The mango lassi was delicious. The star of the menu was their paav bhaaji- the buns were buttered and toasted. The bhaaji was on spot. Perfectly flavoured. Wish they had given onions and lemon on the side and more of it. Service was quick. Will definitely go back to try the other items on their menu.

Came to this spot at the recommendation of a local Stanford student saying this was a popular spot and where she always recommends people from out of town go. It is about 10 minutes away from campus on the main street. It is an order at the counter and take a number type of restaurant. They have plenty of options to choose from. I was quite surprised. From starters, sharables, salads, bowls, burritos, tacos, plates, etc. They have it all. It was hard to choose from because everything seemed so good. The Paneer was delicious. Homemade ginger drink was so refreshing too. Everything we tried was unique, bold and packed with flavor. I see why this is a popular spot for students. When back in town I will be coming back!

Pretty good tasting Indian fast food. I ordered the chicken tikka masala bowl. I enjoyed my lunch but the quantity of tikka masala curry was quite small so I don't think the $11 price without any drink or sides was a good value. Note in the photo that much of the top of the bowl was lentils and not chicken tikka masala. There were only a few small pieces of chicken in the small amount of curry. Good taste, good level or spice for me but I like spicy food. Bad portion size and hence value at the price point. The top of that rice bowl should have been covered with curry and there should have been at least the equivalent of one chicken breast or thigh worth of meat. Nowhere near that much was present.
