Mc Cord Gallery & Cultural Center — Attraction in Palos Township

McCORD ART GALLERY is a gem located in Palos Park IL. A historical Italian farmhouse gifted to the community for the purpose of rendering arts by means of classes, lessons and programs. A new addition recently added serves more space for larger classes and other activities. I have been taking art classes here for many years and each teacher is magnificent in their application and desire to enrich the students they serve. Student recent works and artists alike display their unique sense of style on the walls of McCORD ART GALLERY. Fund raisers are held periodically to sustain the gallery and its services by means of gala dinners, shows, garage sales and a lovely McCord Christmas Shoppe where students are encouraged to participate in the sales of their works. My experiences have always been positive, I have learned many techniques to hone my skills and have tried new applications where otherwise would not be available to me. The teachers talented and professional always willing to encourage students to achieve more than they expected possible. Classes available include but are not limited to the mediums of painting with oil, acrylic, watercolor, graphite & colored pencil.
