LUX 131 Salon & Med Spa — Local services in Palos Township

This is the second time I’ve been here. The first time was for a make-up trial and the second for hair color. From the moment I’ve walked in I was treated like a queen doing a spa day.

I’m very critical with new stylists doing new stuff with my hair or face since both are very sensitive to new things.

My make-up was phenomenal! It was beyond what I expected and she used real name brand make up. Unlike other times where I’ve gone to other places they used their store brand make up or just used and old make up that isn’t very pigmented so it looks like you don’t really have make up on. Also, it made me break out so much with other people using cheap and used make up. She did not do that.

I went out with my girls that night with the trial and the make up stayed on all night and when I washed it off it was not an issue with breaking out or anything since she prepped my face with a great moisturizer and gave me great tips on how to pamper my face afterwards.

Today was my second time coming back to do my hair. I ended up doing a balayage with blonde. I’m also very touchy with someone making changes to my hair since it’s very long and well maintained that easily someone could color my hair badly or cut it that it would not do justice to my hair.

But she did the complete opposite! I’m extremely happy I took a chance with Miranda (who did both make up and hair). I love that she took the time to listen to me and talk to me about what I imagined my hair to be like and she made it come true.

I don’t like writing reviews because they’re so time consuming but I had to this time since she did an amazing job. I couldn’t stay quiet!

Everyone here is sweet and honest. It’s refreshing to get someone to do services like this for you and also treats you like friends.

I already made my follow up appointments to make sure I had time with her since she’s truly an upcoming stylist.

One sentence not for everyone but if you try it you won’t regret it!

I will start by saying I can be VERY fussy when it comes to my hair (as most women are) but I was completely blown away by Miranda’s talent and results!

I have actually gone three times twice for make up and once for my hair - all three experiences were great!

Miranda is a very lovely lady she’s always smiling and really takes the time to listen to what you want what you’re looking for and take the time to explain what she’s going to do!

Both times I’ve been for my make up I’ve had dramatic changes and she’s helped me achieve both looks, and I’ve come out with a big smile across my face!

Some maybe be put off by a couple of things, firstly the consultation if you’re anything like me, hair appointments are difficult to make, and to have to book a consultation first it felt like I was wasting my time turns out not it really gave Miranda knowledge she needed and my hair turn out better than I could imagine and my makeup was very flawless, and stunning!

Another drawback, for Sam, is that Miranda works one-on-one, I am going to the salon isn’t a girls day that honestly, is that that’s what you’re looking for, then I wouldn’t really suggest Miranda. She concentrates on YOU, and that’s what I love:)

Needless to say, I am so grateful that I found Lux131 Salon and day Spa and Miranda I will never have to find another hairstylist or makeup artist and this makes...

I recently had the most amazing experience at Lux 131 where I received a haircut and a pedicure. From start to finish, everything about my visit was absolutely fantastic!

First off, the atmosphere of the salon was relaxing and inviting. I immediately felt at ease as soon as I walked in the door. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and they made me feel like a VIP from the moment I arrived.

My stylist was an absolute artist when it came to my haircut. She listened carefully to what I wanted and then proceeded to give me the most incredible cut I've ever had. She was also super friendly and easy to talk to, which made the experience even more enjoyable.

The pedicure was also top-notch. The pedicurist was meticulous and paid attention to every detail, ensuring that my feet looked and felt amazing. She even gave me a mini foot massage that was pure heaven!

Overall, I would give my experience at this salon a solid 5 out of 5. The staff were incredible, the atmosphere was relaxing, and the services were top-notch. I can't recommend this salon enough, and I can't wait to go back for my next haircut...
