Double Dragon — Restaurant in Palos Township

It had been 15 maybe 20 years since we've been at this restaurant. We don't live as close anymore. So we ordered just about everything we could think of that we used to eat when we had been there in the past. Let me share the list of food with you first. Appetizers Regular egg, rolls vegetable egg rolls, shrimp toast, egg drop, soup crab meat raccoons, 2 cups of Chinese tea Main courses Vegetable lo mein ,sweet and sour pork, vegetable egg foo young . Yes it was only the two of us but we wanted to make sure we had enough food to take home Let me first say that when we walked in I was pleased to see that they were still open in light of the covid situation not many restaurants made it through that terrible time. The restaurant had to make some changes and it did not quite look the same but my husband and I who are both handicapped and we had our service dog were welcomed in with open arms. Our server couldn't have been more pleasant .Had a nice conversation with her during dinner and I'm assuming she's one of the owners. My brother ordered food for us today, he asked for a jumbo shrimp fried rice that's spicy for himself,and 2 different meals with their own rice for me and my mother. I cannot eat spicy food, so I order something I like that doesn't have a spicy option. However, when my brother gets home he finds that the 2 dinner orders for myself and my mother do not have rice. My brother is upset and is also worried because I CANNOT eat spicy food, so he asks if my mom and I are okay with him making rice to go with our food and we say yes, although he shouldn't have t because both dinner orders come with chicken fried rice.

Double down on this place! I've ordered from here for delivery and was hooked on their Mongolian beef and fresh fruit smoothies from day one! We tried cheaper places closer to home but they are subpar to Double Dragon so I don't mind spending the extra dollars knowing I'll get exactly what I'm expecting. On a whim, I ate at their site today and was even more impressed at the cleanliness of the restaurant. Don't expect to accommodate large groups here, only two tables since it's primarily a takeout place. But do expect to be treated by the friendly cashier and be served a delicious meal...
