An excellent enclave for all ages. The paths are well maintained and for the most part paved (excellent for bikers). There are plenty of places to sit (benches) along the trail for those who need to take their time. Deer? check. Water birds? check. Waterfall? check. This park really has a great deal to offer most people from dabblers to wanderers. There are nice facilities (with charging for phones), plenty of parking, a large playground for the kids, dog friendly (be responsible!) and long paths along both the Saddle River and HoHoKus Brook (the waterfall is where the two meet). The only complaint is that like most NJ parks in this area (or most of the state honestly) there is not a 100% escape from urban noise (planes etc.). But in some strange way you can blend those into the experience as white noise (or at least try). The litter level is low, not perfect, but always pick up what you can so this can be yet another thriving area for wildlife...

There's ample parking, it's pretty clean, it's not crowded, and you'll spot an occasional deer.
