Edit (a day later) - Excellent resolution via the in-store folks here. They fixed my phone and apparently it was all covered by Google even though my warranty had expired. They explained to me the mechanical failure that occurred to a connector on my phone's motherboard to the battery and that Google was rectifying this issue specific to the Pixel 4 XL which was great to hear. I asked them about the call service problems I had and they suggested if you get their call service you can request to speak directly with the store if you ever need more information or are in doubt about their scheduling service. I was also happy to hear they also said they would be letting management know about the confusion that their call service seems to be causing which shows they care about improving the customer's experience.
Their Maps entry says they close at 7 but I guess they are staying open later than that for folks needing to pick up their devices. I confused them with other locations that stay open until 8 and arrived after 7 for retrieval and they were luckily open. Excellent service overall in the end.
I HIGHLY suggest using their scheduling service though and once you arrive you might need to be patient if there is a line or make sure to show up early before your appointment time if you can. It's a small space and currently under Covid concerns and respect for everyone's safety they only allow one customer in at a time.
Original review - I've had an excellent experience here in the past but the time I found out the hard way that unfortunately their off-site phone scheduling service doesn't tell you that Google Pixel phones require a minimum of 4 hours for service. So if you're scheduled too close to closing time with a Pixel you have to try again the next or a different day at an earlier hour. Their scheduling service set me up for a 4 pm appointment only for the in-store person to tell me that since they close at 8 they wouldn't be able to work on my phone so I had to schedule for noon the next day.
Initially I tried scheduling using their web site but it wouldn't give me an hour option and kept saying I needed to put in the hour even though it wouldn't give me that option to do so. (That's the reason I called first thing when they opened up in the morning to get my 4 pm appointment.)
I've used this location before for screen replacement on a different Pixel phone and they were excellent then so I'm hoping this will all work out better once the repair is hopefully done but their off-site phone scheduling system is sloppy so two stars for now. It seems their right hand isn't talking...
Read moreOkay.. the staff is friendly and very kind. Incredibly helpful. I am however distraught because. I just bought the Google pixel pro 6. That phone cost Me $1,300.. from Verizon, where I got it a week ago. This store did not have an OtterBox case for the phone. So I confidently said okay I'll take it and be safe with it. I put this phone on top of my table desk and somehow it slid off and cracked. So I was completely fraternized because I just bought the best phone, as I need it for my job! As a video editor-photo editor. I also work for a major music distribution center in NY. ⚠️⚠️⚠️ I found uBreakIfix on Google - called them right away! On the phone I was told that the new screen would be $200. For the Google pixel pro 6, I had mentioned the name of the phone many times. I need to be clear because the pro 6 is larger than the normal six.
Point is I get there and the screen cost $300. Which you know, okay, I understand.. I get there to pick it up after it was fixed. One of the guys was very kind of insensitive..? I mean I worked very hard to purchase this new phone.. the gentleman I wasn't even on the phone with, along with another person. Was saying that I did not say Google pixel pro 6.. I mean I prize this phone. The company Google. So I know what I said. I've used Google since they came out. ⚠️⚠️⚠️ I have the phone back and it actually has a rattle inside of it.....
It was never there before.. I hate to say this I feel like I have invested a large amount of money of my hard work. I guess I feel duped.
I haven't called the store yet to explain this. I'd like to, but I feel they won't believe me since they didn't believe that the estimate I got was $200 over the phone.. This is one of those cases that the customer is right but doesn't get recognized? Not trying to make a scene or annoy anyone.
But I work so hard and I do physical labor inventory - lifting shipping..at this major music distribution center.
Please , what is this rattling in my phone?
I also leave this comment here because I feel that if I were to call you guys won't believe me.. please. I appreciate any help... P.s. new case for the phone is on its way. From amazon.. I guess I've learned my lesson. If Verizon sells you a phone and you don't have a case for it.. go look for a case as soon as possible. Thank you everyone for reading this review I...

I brought my MacBook to uBreak iFix in Paramus to get the screen replaced. The first screen they installed failed within a day. I brought it back, and they replaced it again. This second screen lasted a bit longer, but eventually started popping out of the frame. It wasn't secured properly—either not enough adhesive or just poor installation—and the screen began to fall forward, causing damage to the bottom edge.
There was no external damage to the laptop. I didn’t drop it. I showed them clearly that the screen itself was detaching, and that the damage was being caused by the screen falling forward. Their response? They refused to honor the warranty because there was damage to the screen.
Yes, you read that right. The faulty repair caused damage, and now that damage is being used as the excuse not to stand by their work. Their assitant manager Jeffery just kept repeating the same line over and over, completely ignoring the logic of the situation. He also said that the tech who did the repair no longer works there. Convenient. It's clear they’ll use any excuse to avoid taking responsibility.
This is not a company that stands behind its repairs. Avoid them at all costs. I’ve since documented everything—including a video of the screen falling out, my interaction at the store—and will be disputing the charge with my credit card company.
Bottom line: This shop will use any excuse to avoid accountability. Their definition of a “warranty” seems to be “valid until something goes wrong.” Buyer beware.
Update: They contacted me via phone and promised to fix it. Sent an email which said they would get back to me. Is been a month and a half and the have ignored all further communication attempts...
