100% the best decision I have ever made coming to West Orange Jewelers to find an engagement ring! I’m not really sure how to write a review that adequately expresses my appreciation and gratitude to Richie and Robyn, but I will certainly try. In the simplest words possible, you walk in a stranger and leave a friend. Impossible to be disappointed when you work with people this kind, caring, and honest! From the bottom of my heart, thank you! It really could not have been any easier or more enjoyable.

My story below:

Here’s my rather long-winded story for anyone wanting to know what goes into the perfect buying experience. I walked into WOJ having seen their beautiful website; I was leaving for a trip to the Grand Canyon with my now-fiancee and needed a ring....in 10 days!!! Actually, I needed the ring. Sarah, my future wife, had been dropping not-so-subtle hints about the type of ring she so desired from me after over seven and a half years together. And so, armed with a few pictures and a basic knowledge of the four c’s, I found myself sitting down with the two nicest people you will ever meet, Rich and Robyn. We discussed price range and all the details and found the exact setting in a catalogue. Normally I’d be out of luck, but somehow Richie knew he could pull a few strings (for a complete stranger who walked in out of the blue) and get the ring made in time for my trip. Within two days Richie had three beautiful center stones available for me to come see, and to my amazement, helped me choose a lesser priced rock because it was the nicest in his opinion. That’s right, we went with a center stone almost $500 less than the largest of the three because it was the most beautiful in his expert eyes, and he did not hesitate in any way to give up the extra commission in doing so. That is honesty right there, folks. I put down a deposit, and about a week later had the incredible custom-made ring ready in time for my trip (and no, I did not drop it off a cliff)!

That’s the story of my engagement ring purchase from WOJ. I should mention the customer service went far beyond just buying and receiving the ring. After my trip Richie resized the ring free of charge. About a month after that, Sarah “clanked” her beautiful new ring against a metal table at work (d’oh!) and injured a small prong holding one of the peripheral stones. I got in touch with Robyn and she and Rich immediately took measures to have the ring fixed. The turn-around time was one day and they refused to charge me! I will remember this experience for the rest of my life and be forever grateful to them for everything. No question where we will be wedding band shopping. Anyway, stop researching jewelers and go pay them a visit! You will not regret...

Richie is an absolutely wonderful person to work with! He knows his stuff and is open and honest when it comes to buying jewelry. My fiancé went to Richie for my engagement ring and found him through my family . Both my parents and brother/sister in-law have used WO Jewelers for many years and know they are trustworthy and professional . Richie was able to help my husband choose the perfect engagement ring and even gave ideas to give it a custom look. I just purchased and picked up my wedding ring and it’s just as perfect. Completed in a timely manner and he worked with me to get the wedding ring I envisioned . Richie is great at setting up appointments , very flexible and accommodating. I came across West Orange Jewelers while googling jewelry repair services in the area. Admittedly, I was a little embarrassed to take a necklace there that broke because it was a rather inexpensive piece of jewelry, but has some sentimental value. Well the service I received here was so rare. The owner, Richard, was so kind and made us feel really welcome. It took no time at all to repair the necklace and due to the small job, I was not charged for the service. Richard even did a complimentary cleaning of my engagement ring. This is a family owned business and they are more interested in providing quality service and gaining your trust than seeing people as dollar signs. It’s truly a rare thing to experience these days.
