My Pet Garden — Attraction in Pasadena

I have a very anxious kitty who unfortunately had to go to the ER Monday night. After tolerating a few hours of examinations, she ended up defecating (liquid) all over herself from anxiety and anger. While the vet did their best to clean her up, they couldn't bathe her. I brought home a very angry/scared kitty who smelled like p00p and was visibly covered... anyway. It was 4am, I needed sleep, and was not about to bathe her given she'd already been under so much stress. So she slept in the bathroom.

I've brought her to My Pet Garden twice already, so it was the only place I had considered to call again hoping they'd be able to take her in the morning and give her a bath and groom for a nice fresh start. I called at 7am sharp, and was thankfully able to get a same-day appointment! Usually, I give my cat some gabapentin before appointments so that she's not agitated, but I could barely get a hold of her this time. I just packed her in her carrier and went to My Pet Garden, hoping for the best. About an hour and half later, I picked her up and she looked better than ever. She was cleaned up so well, smelled amazing, and truly looked pampered and well taken care of. The best part is, even without gabapentin and after her very stressful vet visit, groomer had no issues with her personality! They even gave her a cute Halloween bow.

Thank you to My Pet Garden for taking such good care of Daisy and always making her look and smell amazing after each appointment. Especially after this appointment, I absolutely HAD to leave a review. She's not easy with strangers, so your ability to handle her so well speaks volumes about your professionalism, ability to connect with animals and handle them correctly.

I wanted to write a review about MPG's boarding service about a year ago but decided to wait until I had tried a few other places just to compare. Since MPG was close to my home and had good reviews, I sent my dog there for boarding every time I had a vacation. I used their service for a few years and had noticed something strange. Every time I picked up my dog, I could tell he lost A LOT of weight in 1 or 2 weeks when I was gone. My dog was the kind of hungry beast who would never say no to food, not to mention I packed his home food that he loved, so the change of diet wasn't the reason.

I wish my dog could tell me if they only fed him once a day instead of two times to make him poop less and have less energy? BTW, my dog was always quiet and friendly, so I assumed the workers just tried to cut their work load since my dog would not complain? I tolerated the wt loss problem for a long time, then decided to send my dog to other places. I was not surprised at all that the weight problem was gone instantly. No other places would starve my dog to the point that he lost about 30-50% of weight when he was picked up from MPG. Now he is always "the same dog" when I come back from vacation. So, to be fair, if the workers at MPG tried to do less work, at least be honest with me and gave me a partial refund?

I felt I owed it to my dog and had to share his experiences with other dog owners because he might not be the only one left hungry. If you must use MPG, please make sure your dog is fed properly. It was a fun place for dog daycare but questionable...

This place is the best! I have a hard time finding a place to groom my senior cat because she is 16 years old and most places aren’t suitable for her needs. Not to mention, I had recently moved so I was looking for a reliable place that I could trust to take extra care of my baby girl. The MPG staff was friendly, understanding, and incredibly patient in trying to help my appointment booked. They made an accommodation for us where a staff member was able to come in for an early morning appointment so they could have a quiet and calm environment for my senior cat to get groomed. This truly meant a lot to me as my cat gets easily stressed out and at her older age, stress can be a lot on her. They made her not only look so adorable, but they got her so clean! She had some mats around her hind legs that they got off and even cleaned her ears and clipped her nails to a safe length. The appointment was fast, efficient, and affordable. My senior cat looked great and wasn’t stressed at all when I picked her up. I wish I could give this place another star cause they truly went above and beyond.
