Bashas' — Attraction in Payson

Wow I just wow, I had the most terrible experience and for my first time here too. I’m visiting my grandfather here in Payson. As I got done checking out and I was already leaving I noticed a nice humidor and I wanted to take a picture so I can show my grandfather to pick some smokes because he literally cannot leave. I was very rudely stopped very rudely interrupted by the manager who shouldn’t be having the “manager title” in the first place, he was so rude that even a by standing customer had to even spoken up and stated that what he did was absolutely diabolical, and he didn’t have to speak up in that type of manner. It’s unbelievable bashes has somone representing as a manager like that, they must be very desperate it’s sad. He is the worst image for bashes, and shouldn’t have a job… I noticed there’s a smoke shop across the street and they have an amazing humidor. Don’t waste your time & money here might as well just go to the Safeway parking lot. You will never be treated rudely or yelled at for no reason. I’ll never go to that bashes, and that manager should not even have a job. His interaction was so rude that even another customer had to speak up. There’s a better way to tell somebody that they are not allowed to do something, rather than SCREAM at them from across the store...

I worked here for months and was fired for my clothes smelling like smoke. Joseph, the manager who fired me for refusing a drug test at the time of the accusation (Nov 25th,2024 around 11:00 am) admitted in front of two other managers (Rick and Jeff) that he had smoked with me off duty and smokes on a regular but that he wasn't in violation of the stores no drug policy Why are new employees the only ones that have to follow the rules? Terrible company with terrible ethics and leadership. Don't work here if any of those are important to you. Don't shop here if you wish to be respected or served safe food. (They are obviously loosely goosey on their standards including the ones set by the FDA)

My hope for this is that is seen by some one higher up and taken seriously. My friends who work there still deserve a better work place not led by liars and hypocrites who drive away their best workers by acting like grimy politicians. My expectation is that this will be covered up and ignored because that's how the managers here operate, the perk of being a brown nose in a dead end job.

This is the first review I have ever written but I am so mad right now. Had the same cashier as another reviewer. Glasses, dirty blonde hair middle aged female. I have the Bashas’ app on my iPad. I activate my digital coupons and then go to the store. Everything I activated wrung up right except the coffee. Cashier told me I needed the printout of my digital activations. What….. I don’t have a printer at home. Never had anyone tell me that before. She talked to me like I was an idiot saying well those are the rules and I’m not new so I know the rules. I asked why I didn’t need a printout for the other digital offers and they went through ok. She couldn’t answer. It was a matter of principle at that point and I was not leaving without my digital coupon. She finally got a code from customer service to give me the correct price. Bashas, is this really how you treat your long time customers. I’ve been shopping at Bashas for over 50 years. Never again will I step foot...
