The thing that was most disappointing about our visit was the service. Kaylee was one of the rudest waitstaff employees we have ever encountered. She was short, clipped, and clearly did not want to answer questions. When we asked about the dessert menu, she stuck her nose in the air and stared out the window until we asked a second time. She only delivered one food item to our table, and the rest of the staff did everything else (with a good attitude). The final nail in the coffin was when she dropped off the check. She threw it down on the table so that it made a loud slapping noise and spun on her heel. After she walked away, the woman behind us turned around and whispered: "Did she just throw that at you?" Her bad behavior was obvious to other patrons, not just us. And to be clear, we were not being Karens or doing anything that would have warranted such treatment. We spoke politely and said "please" and "thank you" for everything. We were in good spirits and just looking to eat after a long hike.
The food itself was okay, but very overpriced. The Dirty Verde burger was the best item, and it is what may bring me back in the future. Kaylee will benefit from some extra training in customer service, since she does not seem to understand how to treat guests. It was very disappointing to see that behavior from a grown adult for no apparent reason. Her attitude and standards of service were...
Read moreWe stopped here last June after camping and although the service was pretty bad then the food was really good. We just went camping for Labor Day and thought we would make it a tradition to stop here for food after camping trips. We sat for 20 minutes without being greeted, then the manager finally came by and said he would "see what the server situation was". A few minutes later we ordered our drinks and an appetizer. Got our drinks in a decent amount of time. After more than 20 more minutes without our appetizer being delivered or our orders taken, we finally saw our server again and told him we didn't have time to wait to place our order and have it made if it was this long already for just the appetizer. He said okay and brought us tab, still before the appetizer even came!!!! We are a family of 5 and they brought us 4 plates, 3 of which were dirty. Then the appetizer finally came, we had put our card out to pay right after he dropped the bill, but by the time we were done eating and had finished our beers, he still hadn't picked it up, we had to go to the front and ask them to process our check. $46 for 3 sodas, 2 beers and an appetizer. Then we had to go buy actual food somewhere else. So much for that becoming a family tradition. We won't...
Read moreStopped in with my dad looking for a bite indoors. Host let us go to a table just before the bar where we were ignored by the barman and waited so long I went in search of a server. Darling girl, unaware of menu prices. Thought we’d enjoy happy hour but they don’t list prices for anything on the Happy Hour menu…will give you .50 off a draft Coors or Bud, (4.50), and .50 off an 805 blond, (5.50). We ordered chips and dip for $10 minus ($2). An underwhelming plate of half a bag of Doritos with 3 sad, tiny dips. Also a half side of chicken wings (6 of them) for $10- no happy hour price. Oh, and the sauce was a surprise $2 extra. The whole thing was 40 which included a $5 tip for the nice girl. We ended up going to Taco Bell afterward. We could have bought 2-$15, 6 oz burgers or a $15 10” pizza. The only people in the place were men coming off work. Not a one of them ate anything. For my money no value here but an expensive stop to take advantage of unwary travelers. We were wishing we had gone to La Sierra, the Thai Place, Diamond Point or even Fargos, (Rim Country BBQ was closed Mon),for the money we spent. The chicken was great, but, this local won’t be back. We’ll just wait for the next restaurant to...
