Thai Station is one of those pleasant surprises you do not expect to find in a mountain town like Payson. The restaurant is small and unassuming, but the moment you walk in, the aroma of spices tells you that you are in the right place. It feels cozy without being cramped, and the atmosphere is calm, a nice change of pace if you have been bouncing around the busier local spots.

The food is the real star here. Curries are rich and layered, with just enough heat to keep things interesting. The pad Thai comes piled high with flavor that balances sweet, savory, and tangy. Vegetables taste fresh and crisp, and the portions are generous without being overwhelming. You can tell care goes into the cooking, and it feels authentic in a way that makes you forget you are in a small Arizona town rather than a big city.

The service is kind and attentive. The staff have a quiet warmth about them, always ready to adjust spice levels or suggest a favorite dish. Thai Station feels less like dining out and more like being welcomed into a family kitchen where the food speaks for itself.

Grateful...

Huge portions of delicious food. Tried the pra ram lang song and Hawaiian delight. Both dishes were light and flavorful. Loaded with perfectly cooked chicken and vegetables. The staff was kind and I was greeted with a smile and my carry out order waiting. I went home with a TON of awesome food. Hands down, the best food I've had in Payson and I've been eating out every night while I've been working in town for the last month. My only regret is that I didn't find them sooner.

P.S. Don't listen to Michelle, who gave them a 1 star review without ever trying their food. They are definitely open past 6 PM. I just picked up my food at 7 PM. Maybe she went there on Tuesday, when they are closed. 🤔 You could always do what humans did prior to the advent of the Internet and give them a call. That's what I did. I've heard it is a great way to find the hours of an establishment.

Also, I can nearly guarantee you will give them a good review...

What a charming Thai restaurant in Payson! Contextually, this may be considered a standard Thai resturant, yet for Payson it presents a unique option. To begin, the Tom Ka Gai arrived, and we were pleased to discover the small portion was enough to share. Personally, the soup was my favorite component of the entire meal. Next the chicken satay came, accompanied by cucumber and a flavorful peanut sauce. Delicious. My dining companion ordered pumpkin curry, that included traditional Asian pumpkin, similar to acorn squash, perfectly fitting the curry. I ordered the drunken noodle, with red peppers, bamboo shoots, carrots, ginger flavor, and I found it to be excellent. The Thai tea was also enjoyable and tasty. Service was prompt and unintrusive. The atmosphere was peaceful. The price was affordable and appropriate for the portion size. I...

We stopped here en route from Bear Canyon Lake back to Phoenix after a long day paddleboarding and playing disc golf. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality and portion size of the meals. It wasn't the best muss-aman curry I've ever had, but it was pretty good. I'd have preferred it to be a little less sweet with sliced carrots instead of shredded, but those are preferences. The spice level was good and the portion was big enough for 3 meals. Everyone working was very nice and the place was small, but clean. Overall, a great little lunch place with reasonable prices, large variety on the menu, and big portion sizes.

Excellent food! Huge portion sizes. We got the pasta combo, pad Thai, and mango coconut sticky rice. The sticky rice is fabulous! The vegetables and the other dishes seemed very fresh and flavorful, each table has four dishes with different spices and sauces that you can add and that was fun to try. The only thing lacking was the restaurant didn't have any music playing so it was a bit awkward, the servers seemed a little shy which felt a little awkward at times too. Other than that though, definitely worth eating here!
