I didn't want to write this review but, I probably should of tried to call them more times. But I did call 4 times this week with no answer. I will start by saying this the review is not pointing fingers these guys that run this shop are nice, I never had any problems with anything I bought here until 2 weeks ago. And I've spent a lot in this store upwards of $2500 in the last couple of months on livestock. 2 weeks ago I went into the store I bought a wall hammer, a clam, Lemon peel Angel, and a few coral frags and some equipment. The bill was about $400. The wall hammer is dead, it had 3 of the biggest flatworms that I'd ever seen they were about 1/4" wide and 1/2" long. The Lemon peel beautiful fish looked healthy in the store. If you've ever been in this store look at their lighting closely all the for sale coral tanks have no white spectrum why cause if they did you'd probably see the imperfections in the corals including parasites, as true on their fish tanks almost no blue spectrum which would show the parasites on the fish. Now the Lemon peel is probably partially my fault I did dip him before I put him in my display but it was not enough cause you see he had marine velvet. He managed to spread it to all my fish of 2 yrs 2 paired ora clowns, dragon goby, ora orchid dotty back, tribal blenny. All dead. All of their for sale fish tanks are probably all connected which means that marine velvet is probably in all their tanks. I trusted 1 fish store cause they are family owned I thought maybe they cared but do they really has it really come down to just trying to make a dollar. I understand that fish are hard to get right now as too with corals but to sell parasite infected corals and fish is just wrong and deceitful. You knowingly killed part of my family my pets. I will not be coming back. I'm not a newbie I have saltwater aquariums from 300 gal down to 15 gal, I probably should have quarantined the Lemon peel but trust got me, I trusted the guys at Fish Bowl & More a...

My only regret during my visit to this freshwater and a Marine store was not having a few hundred dollars to spend while I was there. Located just a few minutes south of South Sam Houston parkway East off of Texas 35. I found this store just by chance somewhere on Facebook. Decided to look them up since I've visited so many LFS's in the Houston area. And I do give props to plenty of other marine shops out there.
I was immediately impressed upon walking in and seeing not only a large lineup of products, but also a clean and appealing. Look inside the store. A large selection of both marine livestock and freshwater livestock, and don't even get me started on the coral! I've seen things in this store that I haven't seen at any other reputable LFS. All of their staff members were very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and willing to take the time too attend to any questions I had. A+ for service guys.
Now I will admit I didn't spend a whole lot of time viewing the freshwater livestock as my freshwater tanks are full. But both their display tanks and their livestock tanks for the marine and plant sections were quite impressive for the size of the store. One of the first places I've been that had a dedicated section for clowns, anemones , invertebrates, and saltwater fish. With multiple species for each.
Plenty of water chemistry materials, different foods for fresh or salt livestock. More than a few different tank purchasing options, including planet aquariums.
I will myself personally be returning as soon as possible!
I just can't say enough about how much I enjoyed my visit and beating myself up for not being ready with a lot more to...
Read morethe first time i went there the guys at the store seemed really helpfull, I had asked about a turtle and when they were coming in along with when the feeder guppies were going to arrive. They took my number and told me the shipment should be in by the end of the week and that they would call me. Expecting a phone call in a week I wasnt impressed that I had to call 2 weeks after being in the store. I spend the next month and a half calling at the end of each week asking about where the mysterious shipment was coming. While all this had been going on my friend had bought a fish that died within 24 hours of buying it. She had brought it back and they took it saying that when this mysterious shipment came in that she would get a call along with a replacement. Sadly she never recieved a call the whole time I was contacting them. At the end of the month and a half period of getting the run around from the guys at the store we happened to be driving past so decided to stop in. Luckly the mysterious shipment was there. my friend got her replacement fish. I was told that they have no clue when the turtles will come. So if you go here remember that they do not get regular shipments in and they dont have a way to keep a regular inventory to keep a steady client base. Though they do seem like they are geared more towards salt...
