My wife and I spoke to Diana at the store. We looked at a few mattresses. It was a tough call between purchasing a mattress with her or going with another mattress that we found at a Sleep Number Store. We decided to purchase the Air-Streamline mattress with Diana. Before we signed any documents, we were assured by Diana that we could return the mattress within 90 days. After trying the mattress for 30 days, we called the store to discuss a return and possibly a refund. We found out that we could only return the mattress for one of equal or greater value. There are no refunds. We were disappointed by this, because we don't believe we were ever notified of this by Diana. However, if you look more into the documents that you are signing it shows that information. I did go back to the store to look at some exchange options. Unfortunately, there was nothing that had the comfort we were looking for. City Mattress is very strict on their no refund policy. We did have to go to the Better Business Bureau for assistance. In the end City Mattress was willing to make an exception because they wanted to make sure that each customer is satisfied with their mattress, and a mattress can be expensive. I was offered some other mattress options. I chose the Beautyrest Medium ZERO. It was less expensive than the mattress we originally bought but more importantly we find it to be more comfortable. Read moreI bought my mattress about a year ago. With in the first month, I was unhappy. I was told it was probably a manufacturer's defect. They switched it out. I was still unhappy with the mattress, but did not want to cause a fuss. After several months, I could not stand it and asked for a change. They told me they had to do an inspection. The inspector came out and told me there was only a 1 inch indentation (on a brand new mattress) and that it had to be 1.5". There was nothing to be done. My old mattress didn't indent for 15 years. They just want your money. I would never buy from them again. I wonder if City Mattress and City Furniture are the same. If they are, I wont buy from City Furniture either. A shame for them. I am about the redo my house, including every mattress in the home.
Btw…If you can’t find me in the system, why did your sales person, Diana, call me after the review I did. Manipulative!!! There are too many other places to buy our mattresses to be treated like this. Find an honest company. ...
