Activate Pembroke Pines is NOW OPEN!!!
A fun interactive place for kids and adults. They offer 60-minute or 90-minute experiences. They can also accommodate large groups.
Activate promoted their Grand Opening with FREE event days on 8/6-8/9. They allowed you to sign up for as many tickets needed for 8/6-8/9 and you pick your time slot. They offered slots every 15 minutes. Amazing deal. Apparently they do this for all their Grand Openings and market the free first few days. What a smart way to get exposure!
Our friend shared with us so I secured 11 tickets for 4pm on Thurs 8/7. We also had more friends sign up for the 4:15pm time slot since 4pm was sold out but they were able to play together too. Close enough in time. So much fun getting all our kid's friends together for a fun play date. Adults played too. We had about 20 people total!!!
This new spot is located in the Pines City Centre by Outback Steakhouse and sits between Suite House & Co. and Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming.
Make sure to have everyone sign a waiver ahead of time and create a Player Name, this saves time. Arrive 15 minutes before your designated time as it's a process to sign in, at least with a big group. Check in at front desk. They scan your barcode from email confirmation. They give you wristbands. They also give you a special teal wristband that allows you to lock up personal items in the lockers too. Go to kiosk and have each player activate their wristbands by entering email used to sign waiver and create Player Name. This will pull up your info. Select player and scan wristband to activate for game. This allows the system to keep track of your points, coins earned and shows where you place on leaderboard.
Once everyone is ready to play. They go over some quick instructions and then send you into the hall of micro rooms. Here you will go with groups of 3-5 players, pick a room, pick a game, choose level of difficulty and enter room.
There are so many different interactive rooms: lasers, grids, hoops, photo booth, control room, strike, portals, scan and so much more. I think about 14 rooms total. Very organized, fun and a workout!!! Lol. We had a blast!!!
Thank you to the entire Activate team for being so patient and helpful throughout this process. Aliyah helped us check in. Robin was the Team Leader and helped their team and answered any questions/concerns. Myeva was very patient trying to get our big group to calm down and listen to instructions. Haha. A big task in itself. Mitch was wonderful helping us navigate the game rooms and answer any questions the kids had. Princess was also great in assisting with my additional wristband as we had 2 players who wanted to play by themselves but needed an extra player with minimum 3 players in order to enter the room. They can accommodate 2 players specifically but you have to let them know to set it up that way. It was hard with our group since we had like 20 players!
If you're looking for something different and interactive, check out Activate Pembroke Pines! It's MAD COOL!!! We had such a good time and everyone just laughed and ran around like maniacs. A good time indeed. We will be back!!!

Pros: The place is clean and very big inside. They offer you lockers and give you a blue bracelet to be able to open and lock it. The ac is always working, and lots of rooms available to play. Some games are repeated but the room size are different, one would be smaller and the other is bigger. We saw a lot of employees walking around to help you if you need it. The gentleman that help me and my girlfriend took us to his favorite game and talked us through using the screen to play. What the colors mean and how to play and different options available in the game, such as one on one or teams.
Cons: It gets sooo hot because it is very active so bring water and athletic clothes, something comfortable. Also, we went for an hour and in 30 minutes our bracelet said we were out of time.
Overall: Wear comfortable but breathable clothing. Sneakers are what I recommend but I've seen some people in crocs, some games do involve running so keep that in mind. They have a photo room where they send you the pictures you take to your email. Its fun, its great, its active and an hour is more then enough time in my opinion. Great for dates, families and...
Read moreI took my kids today to Active Enter the Game, which sounded like such a fun and unique experience. The idea of being the player in an interactive gaming facility really caught my attention, and my kids were excited to try it.
Unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to expectations. When we arrived, the place was very busy, and we had to wait about 30–45 minutes before we were allowed to go in. Once inside, several of the rooms had “maintenance” signs and were unavailable, leaving only a few open. Because of that, the few working rooms had long lines we often had to wait 6-8 minutes just to get a turn.
On top of that, there were no drinks or vending machines available, only a single water fountain, which also had a line. The bathrooms were not very clean, which was disappointing given how new the place seems.
In the end, my kids only got to play in two or three different games before our time was up. For almost $90 for less than an hour of playtime, it just didn’t feel worth it. The concept is great, but the facility needs better management, cleaner facilities, and better crowd control. Unfortunately, we probably won’t be back...
