Date of visit: Sat Aug 19th , sun Aug 20th, 2023 When we decided to take a road trip to Philly, we didn't realize how costly hotel stays would be. Everything in Philly was so pricey we decided to broaden our scope to see what came available. Thats how we found the Best Western Plus. It is located just over the river from Philly in New Jersey. The hotel is right on the highway, which made getting to the hotel the first time a surprise and challenge. Subsequent entries were much more accessible, but as first-time visitors, it was a quick turn. The hotel has ample on-site free parking with several spots for charging stations. The front desk staff were very friendly, helpful, and informative. This is a lovely, modern hotel with beautiful rooms. Our room was charming. It was very comfortable, with a lot of room, a big comfy bed with large fluffy pillows. Our room looked out over the highway, and we expected there to be a lot of noise from the traffic. This was– not an issue even though it was right on the highway. This is a 100% smoke-free hotel, so there was no concern breathing in that aroma (old or new). The bathroom was spacious & clean, with a tall shower, which is perfect for tall people. Exceptional staff. Every staff member we encountered was outstanding. They were all very friendly, engaging, and helpful. In fact i witnessed several staff going out of their way to help their guests. One guy, who appeared to be maintenance/cleaning team, helped a single mother and her three young children get breakfast (which was still out) even though it was technically closed. They were so grateful as she clearly had difficulty getting three youngsters ready for the day, and she was disappointed to miss breakfast. There is a Complimentary full breakfast. Hot coffee/ tea, eggs, breakfast meat, juices, an assortment of fresh breakfast bread, muffins, and pastries. A selection of popular cereals and oatmeal. Waffles and yogurt. The hotel does have a gym with assorted equipment like free weights and treadmill, elliptical, and bike. . There is no pool here. The hotel is not pet-friendly; service dogs are accepted. This is a fantastic place to stay: exceptional service, comfort, and quality. The challend of navigating your drive to philly goes away after your first attempt. Stay here, you won't be disappointed.

The best part was Ms. Essie (forgive me if got the name wrong), who was tending to the continental breakfast bar. She is definitely a happy person and seemed to really enjoy interacting with guests. Nothing was lacking on her watch, everything was stocked perfectly. She seemed to take pride in her work, rightfully so. What a sweet lady. Our room was what we expected. We were next to the elevator but it surprisingly didn’t disturb us. The building appeared to have some renovations done within the last few years. There was a good sized parking lot with three electric car chargers. We were glad not to have to park on the street. The neighborhood was fine, it was on the edge of an industrial park. It was along the highway but we couldn’t hear traffic from inside. There are very few electrical outlets in the room. The desk attendants were all polite and attentive.

This is a nice hotel and we would definitely consider staying there again. It was a close drive from BB&T Pavilion after a concert, which is why we chose it. It was clean and had a friendly staff. We took a star off as our 4th floor room (king size bed) was very small, all we needed for sleeping, though. We were on the highway side and we did hear the loud trucks throughout the night and early morning. You can see how close the highway is from the window. We would try to get a room on the other side of the hotel. I meant to ask, but totally forgot. Breakfast was good, two waffle makers, scrambled eggs, cream chipped beef (but we're out of biscuits by 9:45), bagels, muffins, oatmeal, variety of cold cereals, yogurt, apple and orange juices, plus more. They might offer different foods on other days, we only stayed one night.

This is a nice local hotel at a perfect location next to the highway and less than 5mins from the Ben Franklin bridge. The hotel close to wawa and other local restaurants. Free breakfast starting at 7a-10a. There is a small snack bar. As well as a gym to work off those snacks. The room is a nice set up,bed(s) are comfortable. The bathroom is spacy, as well as the shower (which I love). Nice selection of complimentary toiletries. The decor of the entire building is beautiful. Also outside the hotel, they have charging ports for electric cars. My overall stay was very relaxing. The hotel manager Chris is awesome. The staff have great customer service. I reccomend this hotel 👍fact: Before it became a hotel it was a medical school (which I use to attend)lol

Affordably priced hotel. Rooms were clean and showed no wear. There is a complimentary full hot/cold breakfast. Within 15 minutes of downtown Philly.

"I had an outstanding experience with the customer service at this hotel. Despite staying on the noisy first floor, our room was very clean. However, I found two needles and a gun bullet behind our headboard, which the cleaning staff missed. Despite this, I appreciate the overall cleanliness and will consider returning when in the area. The breakfast was a plus, though taste-wise, it wasn't the best. Grateful nonetheless."
