I've gone up in the tower several times since I was a child. It's an awesome view of the Peoria metro area, but it can be a bit much for those afraid of heights (no pun intended). The wind is strong and steady, so unless it's a hot summer day a coat of some kind might be advisable. It's somewhat unclear when their normal operating hours are, but it usually sells trips up when there are Tower Park events.

Neat place, be sure to check their Facebook page for hours. Tried to come here over lunch with my kids today and it was closed. I tried to make an hours edit suggestion on Google to reflect that it’s apparently open Fri, Sat and Sun 11-7...
